***2022-23 CFB Bowl Games Thread***

FCS Semi-Final & D3 Title game on but yeah no Bowl games for some reason.
Thanks for the heads up on those! Just pulled up ESPN and it was bowl games only. Surprised they aren't taking advantage of Friday night and instead competing with NFL tomorrow

Wondering if big dollar NIL deals will dictate this more - thinking with Young - Dr Pepper and Nissan want to see him on the field in that game.

Can the bowl games themselves get into the NIL market?

Maybe they can put up some money to keep some players from sitting out.

That’s a good question. I know you can’t have performance based NIL deals, but I wonder if that would fall under incentivizing someone to play in bowl games?

I thought about this the other day, if someone offers NIL money to a player to play in the schools bowl game as opposed sitting out to prepare for the draft?

Also, I’m not aware of anything that would prevent a bowl, or at least the sponsors paying NIL for certain players to play in it.

Yeah, the sponsors might be the key there. Maybe the bowls coordinate with the sponsors to get players that are in the bowl to be in promotional material such as advertising that airs during the game.
