***2022-23 CFB Bowl Games Thread***

The fact there are people saying this is obviously targeting and obviously not targeting is the perfect reason targeting needs to be reevaluated as a rule. It almost seems like a judgement call at times and has a huge impact on the game with the ejection.

Reevauated and restructured for what the penalty is.

Think of how many games have been maligned because of an ejection.

I mean you can’t say this when Michigan rolled OSU at OSU in perfect weather. Last year in a blizzard I would get this take but not this year. They also play last game of the regular season so it’s not like they rolled OSU in sept.
True, but Ohio State basically had 1 bad half the entire season. They absolutely steamrolled everyone else. I just think they have alot more offensive talent than Michigsn, that's why I said either them or Georgia will destroy the Michigan-TCU winner.

If you lead with your helmet, it is targeting. If you lead with your shoulder that's a clean hit. If helmets make contact, that's fine but the initial impact can't be with the helmet.
If you lead with shoulder to the head it’s still targeting too though right?

I like the idea of something similar to a flagrant 1 and 2 system. There are some that are a guy making a dumb play but you can understand how it happens. Then there are the clearly over the line hits where a guy is headhunting. Very different scenarios and should have different punishments in my opinion

Looking like it may be the Big 12 vs Big 10 for national championship. So much for the SEC.
