***2022-23 CFB Bowl Games Thread***

He bobbled it for a half second. By the time he got control, he was in. At a minimum there's no way it should have been overturned. But I love it!! F Michigan!

Why is that a touchdown if he bobbles it while his knee is down? Seems like it's rewarding the player for not catching it.

The Mich WR's knee was down on the 1 or 2 when the ball went into his chest. How was that a touchdown?
I think they are saying that he didn't possess the ball while in contact with the ground. When he DID get full control, he was across the line.

I'm not sure of the technicalities of the situation, anyone here actually officiate at any college level here to help interpret?

Aren't you down in college when your knee is down? His knee was down at the one and the ball wasn't in the EZ. Good call if you ask me.
And his butt was down when the ball was secured. Not gonna change any minds tho.

Probably should have been a TD. ALTHOUGH, I am not up on all the rules. If it was when he controlled it, then its a TD.

But, I have been told many times that my team needs to just be better, so the refs can't make a difference and that I can't complain about officiating.

SO, Michigan should not have fumbled and got their score, nothing to see here, officials are always right, move along.

That's the thing... probably a bad call, but teams probably put it in the endzone 99% of the time with 1st and goal from the 6 inch line. In order to win games, you always must over come some sort of adversity... Michigan failed.

Mind you, I will agree with Michigan fans saying they got screwed there. But, I would also tell them I don't care that ANY Big 10 team got screwed.

By the time he had possession his ass was down well over the goal line. That was a bad call. But whatevs.

Every team in every game HAVE to overcome adversity to win. Michigan didn't. 1st and goal on the 6 inch line should always result in a TD.

Like there was clear video of the ball rotating/shifting while he was going to ground trying to gain control. Mind boggling reversal.

Hope TCU can win by 7+

They haven’t gotten breaks other than that and looking like the better team.

I don’t doubt Michigans defense is good but only three teams in their 14 team conference have a good offense (including Michigan).

SEC and B1G teams never get screwed IMO.... not with the $$$ advantage they have over everyone else.

Yep you have to get the TD there. Get screwed but still have your destiny in your hands. Had to step out of the room as I’ve got a ton of Michigan fans melting down

Michigan is not a great come from behind team. A touchdown here would be huge.

You know what my favorite thing in all of this is? Living smack dab in the middle of Walmart Wolverine territory and listening to them basically automatically write themselves into the championship game "because we're playing TCU" for more than a month now - them having to watch their team get surgically dissected by a team they didn't think was worthy of carrying the Wolverines' jocks.
