Plus people always forget that KU wins in Hilton about 75% of the time. I’m expecting a loss Saturday. Not happening, this team is broken. We had Grill back last night raining 3s and even that didn't matter now.

a loss isnt the end of the world on saturday by any meansPlus people always forget that KU wins in Hilton about 75% of the time. I’m expecting a loss Saturday.
The loss in itself wasn't that bad. The way we lost was excruciating.
Hoiberg was 1-4 in Manhattan, Prohm was 3-3 and TJ is 1-0. So over the last 7 years, we have done pretty decent there, even with some bad teams.Eh, I’ve seen plenty of good Iowa State teams lose to bad KSU teams in Manhattan. Not a place with a huge amount of success over the years.
Definitely not. I’ve said if we go 10-8, that exceeded my expectations by far of this team.a loss isnt the end of the world on saturday by any means
i dont expect to win the conference after what happened last night so now its just all about seeding for the ncaa tourney in my eyes.
im not even upset so much losing to texas tech- if that game would have been close throughout and we ended up losing at the end- so be it.Definitely not. I’ve said if we go 10-8, that exceeded my expectations by far of this team.
Kinda forgot we won there last year. That was a gutty road win. The Shayok year when we blew them out was a fun one. We have been good there lately, minus the end of Prohm.Hoiberg was 1-4 in Manhattan, Prohm was 3-3 and TJ is 1-0. So over the last 7 years, we have done pretty decent there, even with some bad teams.
And then we can all tear out our hair over "what might have been" if only they had held onto a 23 point lead in Lubbock. LOL.When we defeat Kansas on Saturday, all this seed line angst will dissipate. Just wait and see.

CHOOSE THE FORM OF THE DESTRUCTOR!
CHOOSE AND PERISH!

We went from hopeful conference winners to being happy with a 6 seed in 2 days. Just sad.Flush Des Moines and a top 5 seed from your thoughts and set new expectations, and you won’t be disappointed.
I've always been happy with a 6 seed.We went from hopeful conference winners to being happy with a 6 seed in 2 days. Just sad.
Yep, TT is basically the quality of a mid-pack Big 10 team.Couple of overarching things I noticed when scanning Torvik this morning.
The "Game Score" stat for last night was the same as the @KU game. Puts it in perspective that we played about the same quality-wise in both those games.
Also I didn't realize that TTU is #57 overall in the country on there. What a meat grinder with the worst team in the conference is nearly top-50.
Another thing - our offensive rating for last night was pretty comparable to @OU. The defense played 6 points worse, though. That makes sense to me because it felt like we did enough to win on offense (thanks Grill), but just couldn't get the stops we needed down the stretch.
Good perspective... almost everyone on here before the season would be over the moon if we got a 6th seed.I've always been happy with a 6 seed.
Many Shubs and Zulls knew what that was like last night in Lubbock, I can tell you.I'd rather roast in the depths of a giant sloar than watch last night's game again
Finish out 4-5, I think we're a 5 seed. Finish out 5-4 and I think we're a 4.Good perspective... almost everyone on here before the season would be over the moon if we got a 6th seed.
I admit I am not excited for settling for a 6 line at this point in the season.
they have a very good resume that has them comfortably above that seed and falling that far would mean a lot of losses and missed opportunitys.
The goal should be a top 4 seed and us fans can be disappointed if we don't get there by March. The goal posts may have moved but that is a credit to the team and they should work to get back to the 2-3 seed level they were at just a week ago.
I've always been happy with a 6 seed.
Anyone upset with a 6 needs to evaluate all sorts of things to do with ISU's NCAA tourney history, and the fact that even blue bloods don't always get high seeds. Get in, hope for a good matchup and some good luck.
