Just booked a hotel room for Dec 3-5 at the Marriott near AT&T stadium. Can cancel for no charge 2 days in advance. $530 for total stay. Get on it folks, if/when we make the Champ game this year, Cyclone fans will swarm Arlington in full force and anger.

Good:
1) Two Texas schools coming to hopefully a cold Jack in November
2) 3 worst teams to start conference play
3) Texas may lose 3/4 to start conference play

Bad:
1) Really tough schedule from 10/23 on..
2) Lost a game in Brocktober
3) Play OSU in Brocktober (only team to beat Brock that month)

Oh dang, forgot about that. So we really do only get 1 bye week. I looked at that schedule block and just assumed that empty square was a bye week. Damn

Anyone know how UNI is looking for next year?
Hope we break the curse of the 1st game turd we seem to always have.

Ranked 3rd in the FCS for the spring season even after losing 5 NFL guys to transfer and the Draft. Every important piece that plays this spring will be back in the fall.

The other big thing with UNI is that they will have been playing into May and will not have the 'game rust' that Iowa State will have. Going to be a weird year in FBS vs FCS games because of that.

Yup, it did work out well last year, but we do play better as the season goes on. Can't wait to beat 'em twice this year.

I'd like us to be playing OU late every year and

Baylor in Waco in late September again. Watch it be 100 in the shade and ISU not allowed to have tents on their sideline again.
Hopefully, this will be a night game this year.

I bet we are better equipped this year. AND, I'll assume under Andrews leadership, the team is much better prepared physically than that last disaster.

Agree. Don't like the 10/9 bye week as it's a nice weather day wasted, and we could have used used a breather later in conference. A bye on 10/30 going in to Texas would have been good.

Tech won't be very good. K-State is a huge unknown. Facing 2, likely bottom third teams off of a buy is close to best case scenario

I'm just not sure why both have to be on the road and we have to face 2 teams off bye weeks where OU has zero.

I still have K-State PTSD, but I do agree about Tech. Give me a couple more years of nothing crazy w/ K-State and I'll be ok.

I'm really surprised we are playing OU this late. A rematch 2 weeks later in Dallas isn't ideal for eyeballs/playoff appeal.

Probably don't want a back to back...at least the Big 12 wouldn't want it.

Brock is 1-2 in October vs OSU. I'm sure he'll be glad to get rid of the losing record to them on Oct 23.

I get everyone's bad juju with UNI but we are built to absolutely piss stomp them this year. We are way too balanced of an offense to not hang a ton of points against purple Iowa. Defensively we will be fine. People need to get week one 2020 out of their minds, there is a lot to that story.
