MLB: ***2020 MLB Season Thread***

Jamie Pollard came out and said that we should all be ready for games to be cancelled / postponed. He said that's just the reality of it. He did say there will be measures in place for those cancelled / postponed games though.

In today's interview, he also blew off the Board of Health question to pass the buck to the University president.
Pollard's not a valuable source for anything on this, unless you need a primary source to demonstrate what a full focus on economics above all looks like.

I wouldn't call him an invaluable source for this. And his quotes have been quite reasonable in regards to safety / health vs. the economic impact of all of this. He's stated many times the answer lies in the middle. People want to jump to either side and say, "just play", or "shut everything down", and it's his job to find solutions to how we can have a way to still play, but do so safely.

Idk I just wouldn't condemn Jamie for what he's said so far, that's all.

I will. The answer isn't in the middle. It's in prevention.

But back onto MLB.

MLB has told TV carriers to have alternative programming ready.

Season in a nutshell

When I had the TV on during breakfast this morning I noticed 3 advertisements in 10 minutes from MLB advertising opening day. They may not have their **** together.

So Manfred essentially said they're going to finish the season.. Well how will that work if there are 10+ games missing from some team's records? Do you go by win % then?
