Georges wasn’t that highly touted when the staff got in on him. Of course once he signed and was a senior, nearly everyone was optimistic.
Yeah, I don't remember many criticizing the signing. There were some questions about his athleticism (YCMA game) translating to B12 when he signed. More that it would take him time for him to start rather than not being able to play. Though with all message board I am sure Georges has some detractors.
Once I saw Niang play on the summer circuit prior to him signing, his ablity to play point forward and being alpha/top offensive option on his team with the #1 rated player of Noel I had not concerns with Georges translating to the college game at ISU. Boy did it translate.
I do see some flashes of Georges game in Luke though I don't expect AA honors by his senior year just very good starter.
This class is going to end up being sneaky great. Can't wait to see them next year.
There’s a big difference between the initial reactions and by signing day. But it goes both ways, two months after signing day, if not earlier, nearly every recruit is a hit on message boards around the country.
I can see why not all programs would prioritize all three, but Prohm cut his teeth value shopping at Murray. He generally has an eye for what is important.
Is it me, the camera angle, or just his stocky build, but does he have a long upper body and short legs?
Nice dunks, and great hang time, but not sure he has enough speed to get to the hoop.
Saw tweets where both Tre and Marcedus are McDonald's All American candidates (wide pool at this point, I know).
Still means theyre top 10ish prospects in their state which is good news esp for someone with question marks like leech

(South Carolina for contrast has 7 nominees.)
Anyone can be nominated so it really doesn't mean anything. There was a kid from Ames that averaged like 2 ppg that got nominated a few years back
Totally agree, nice to be nominated and recognized but that is all at this point.
I was surprised more that Arkansas only had one nominee than seeing Leech and Jackson on the list.
