Like Warning said, the scoring was different for Olympics prior to like 2008, BUT, in 2012, Aly and the Russian tied for third. Close scores are very common in gymnastics. To win by 2.1 full points is huge.
Gabby vs. Komova in '12 =0.259 points
Nastia vs. Shawn in '08 = 0.6 points
Carly vs. Khorikina in '04 = 0.176 points
Watched the finals of men's rugby. Can college football programs recruit Fiji??? Holy crap, those dudes are gigantic and very fast.
I really enjoyed the rugby. The only other time I see it is students at Iowa State playing it somewhere around campus and they aren't quite the same level.
I never played in college but did come back and play some with The Old Boys when they would get back together and play. It is as much fun (or more) to play as it is to watch. I think it is a crock of crap, but if it was the unknown husband of a well known WNBA player like Simone Augustus or Maya Moore or a Tennis star or a WPGA star you can bet that they would make the same mistake.
