MLB: 2015 Minnesota Twins thread

I HOPE we get the jankies in the one game playoff... It would so much sweeter to win there.

Kevin Jepsen has been solid! Has really picked up the bullpen (minus his first outing with the Twins). 7 for 7 in saves and 1.45 ERA.... (Has some "Every Day Eddy" moments - but has got the job done )

Finally, a dramatic win that feels like a season changing springboard, not a dramatic feels like season crushing loss!

I'd forgotten how much fun it was to frantically check to see if there is another Baseball Tonight coming up to see highlight!

Texas loses again this afternoon, and the Twins are back within 1 game of Texas. Also 3.5 back of Houston if Texas runs down the Astros. 5.5 games back of NYY for 1st WC.

Games of note

Tex vs Hou (7 games)
Tex vs LAA (4 games)
LAA vs Hou (6 games)

Min vs LAA (4 games, in MIN)
Min vs KC (final 3 games, in MIN)

NYY vs Toronto (7 games)

If the Twins take care of business against the Tigers/White Sox/Indians, the schedule sets up for the West to cannibalize itself over the last half month.

Interesting new today on the rotation going forward...not an ideal setup for Detroit series:

Monday--Duffey on extended rest. Sometimes good, sometimes out of routine backfires.
Tuesday--Hughes returning, no rehab, 75-pitch pitch count.
Wednesday--Another roll of the Pelfrey dice.

Hope it works out, serious chance to make up ground and take the lead as Texas-Houston square off.

Pelfry is on my fantasy team. He better pitch well.

You miss Draft night or something?

Twins load the bases in the first on an error and two walks. Zero runs. My wife took the baby from me as Rosario was robbed of a grand slam for the 3rd out. Good thing because I would've thrown him at the TV

tWINs.

lol White Sox. (I feel like I type that a lot)

Rangers did win again, so still one back, but the Astros currently down 3-0 to Angels.

If that holds, Twins will be 2.5 back of Houston, who is really taking on water at this point with 12 more against LAA and Texas.

With so many games left in the West, Twins might be able to win this by default it they can go .500 the rest of the way.

And, don't look now, but NYY lost the first of 7 remaining Toronto games, moving the Twins within 4.5 of WC1.

Isn't it for the best if the Astros pull things together and starting being up the rangers and angels?

I've already told a couple of my uncles that we'll need to get tickets if we can somehow take over the top spot. I know that's not as likely but it'd be a blast to be at that playoff game.

Twins stomp on Detroit 7-1 last night. Texas downed the Astros as well, so still 1 game back.

Hughes gets tossed back into the fire tonight, and if the Twins can manage another win, they are guaranteed to pick up at least a half game in the wildcard race.
