Nice bounce back outing for Arrieta tonight, I'd be fine with shutting him down after one more start to get more of a look at the Turner/Dubront/Straily crowd.

What are your predictions for wins this year. We're only 10.5 out of the wildcard I think we could realistically claw our way up to 5 or 6ish out. But who knows with how they'll play with the lineup. I'm really getting excited for next year!

It's going to get a little tougher now that Rizzo is out indefinitely and now Castro isn't in the lineup because of an ankle injury. With that said, the Cubs have beaten some really good teams lately. I fully expect them to compete next year. Maybe I'm overly optimistic.

This might be for the best. Castro is still dealing with that fatal car accident back home. Give him time to heal mentally and physically

Cubs are now 51-49 over the last 100 games, 4th best record in the NL over that time. I'm trying hard to avoid expecting a playoff berth next year but it's getting more and more difficult.

I'm expecting at least contention next year. The Cubs will be adding this this off-season and a full year of Soler, Baez, Alcantara and the addition of Bryant will be too much to not at least be in the conversation for a playoff spot.
