I don’t understand this line of thinking. I agree that Campbell doesn’t owe us anything and that 10 years was a helluva run but I’m not going to be cheering on Penn State any time soon. Well, maybe against the hawks but that’s about it.
Not getting cute with the answers, you can do that in the comments. Yes or No

I appreciate and thank Matt Campbell for everything he did and wish him the best, but 1- I don’t root for coaches after they leave and 2- I can’t cheer for Pedo State for moral reasons, I don’t care that the perpetrators are dead/fired/in prison. You can’t change a culture like that overnight, and I just can’t support that.

Good poll. Needs an option for: not no, but h-ll no not ever.

No but I'll tune in some to see what his teams look like.

Big name programs also tend to have post-game clips on national feeds so I'm curious to see if he still rambles along without answering the question and how the PSU fanbase likes it.

Not actively. I won't actively root against him and I'll be happy enough for any success he has, but he's moved on so I am too. I'm a fan of the team over an individual coach.

Similar thing with Hoiberg. Maybe I would have rooted for the Bulls in a final but they never got that far so I guess I'll never know.

If there an indifferent option? I'm not going to root against him and am curious how he does with PSU resources, but I'm probably not going out of my way to watch them or root for them either.
If you’re not rooting against them, you not rooting for them, right? This is more to see how what percentage will actively pull for Campbell going forward. Williams said last night he’d be rooting for him so I’m sure others feel the same way.

I won’t root against him but I won’t root for him either. He just kind of exists now. If he gets canned in a few years I’ll definitely have a “welp, shoulda stayed” mentality, which is harsh I admit.

I will say this - the more I think about the situation with his mom’s cancer, the less personal this move feels, and in a certain sense I think he’s doing what’s right for the family. It’s awful to be isolated from family in that situation. I have personal experience.

This matches my perspective closely, and I also thought of Hoiberg situation when I saw the poll in the feed. A "good for him," take your career where in leads. I can wish a successful coach stays longer with ISU, but also realize it's a profession. I can embrace the success that occurred and embrace that, and hope the next coach can build on it.

Nope. If he’s successful it’ll be too painful.

Can we have an option for "Yes, cheering for Campbell, but with my nose plugged so I don't have to smell the Nittany Lion poop."

I would be happy for him and his coaches if they had success. But no, I will not "root" for them.
