What's streaming that's good TV/movies

I didn't think it dropped until tomorrow, but randomly turned on AppleTV and the new Cape Fear series first two eps are available. Critics are raving about it...i wasn't sure after the trailer. But holy **** the first ten minutes are...something. Oof.

Does Bardem have a nail gun in this one?

Saw the film version with Robert Mitchum when I was a kid and hated that guy ever after.

Somebody, I won't say who, is on a Tom-Hardy-lesser-known film jag at my house. First two offerings:

Dot the I (2003) - Bizarre love triangle with not one major twist, but two. Hardy has a small role as a young flunky for the perpetrator. On Prime.

Locke (2013) - All the action takes place with Hardy's character, a married family man who has an ultra important international contract, who throws it all away as he drives to London to be with the woman giving birth to his child. Lots more interesting than the summary sounds. Available on several platforms. I watched it on Tubi.

Next up, Lawless (2012) on Pluto.

not yet that i've seen. but he's a nasty mofo. i thought DeNiro was a great villain in this 90s role. Bardem is right there with both Mitchum and DeNiro.

Widows Bay season finale did not disappoint.

Season 2 has the potential to be amazing. I kinda hope they do a flashback season for previous cycles and the offerings.

But I see this was just renewed for season 2 last week. So hopefully they can film this and turn it around quicker than some of the HBO series that have taken forever between seasons.

We can assume based on that old video from the shelter that was watched + the 8 bell tolls that eight deaths are coming?

Is that 8 beyond the guy that was already killed in the room?

Also, is this a separate curse than what they’ve been trying to end with the founders bloodline? Or would Evan dying end this curse?

And also, did I miss or not understand if they ever really found out why the priest killed himself? Was it because he found out about the sacrifices?
