Well like the 200th best man in the world drunk and smoking between games did pummel Williams a number of years ago so maybe he could. This reeks of a man who also thinks he could land a plane with no training or beat a Williams sister in tennis.

Do the first 5. And remember we’re talking nationally relevant. Not who Iowa State fans recall as relevant. But truly talked about nationally by the talking heads. There is a long long list of more relevant.
Ever? Or now?Do the first 5. And remember we’re talking nationally relevant. Not who Iowa State fans recall as relevant. But truly talked about nationally by the talking heads.
I would assume Blum meant, "while a student-athlete at ISU".Ever? Or now?
It's also important to qualify that Blum's claim was nationally relevant while they were at Iowa State, not later in a professional carreer. Purdy and Haliburton weren't talked about as much as Audi while they were here.Do the first 5. And remember we’re talking nationally relevant. Not who Iowa State fans recall as relevant. Cael Sanderson for one? It's also important to qualify that Blum's claim was nationally relevant while they were at Iowa State, not later in a professional carreer. Purdy and Haliburton weren't talked about as much as Audi while they were here.
Audi is probably the ISU player I've seen in the most advertisements for ESPN. I would argue that Audi is probably the most nationally known player for ISU to in proportion to her sports popularity. Audi was talked about a lot more in WBB media than say Purdy in CFB media.
You putting her above Cael who was on a Wheeties box? It's also important to qualify that Blum's claim was nationally relevant while they were at Iowa State, not later in a professional carreer. Purdy and Haliburton weren't talked about as much as Audi while they were here.

Marcus Fizer and Troy Davis, are a couple moreCael Sanderson for one?
For sure. The recency bias is strong around here.Marcus Fizer and Troy Davis, are a couple more
I will go back a bit more. Danny Harris in the 400 hurdles. Won the silver medal and was the only guy to beat Edwin Moses in like 15 years. I believe he was still at ISU or had just graduated. For sure. The recency bias is strong around here.

Davis was 5th and 2nd in the Heisman. It was heavily talked about as him being the first (and second) player to never win the Heisman after gaining 2k yards. He set the single game rushing record, he was the only player to have consecutive 2k yard seasons. He was talked about a lot.I think these are good examples, but it's far from a long list. I was a child or not born when all of these people mentioned played, so I don't have any context for whether their talked about in national media or not.
It's not easy to compare across decades, but Audi was the most googled WBB player this year. Would that be true for these other players? I would think that would true be for Cael, but would it be for Fizer or Davis? I don't mean it in the literal sense, but more as the level of celebrity within a certain sport.
Danny Harris was talked about on CBS sports and the sports pages for a while when he broke Edwin Moses streak. Back then track and field was much more popular than it is now.I think these are good examples, but it's far from a long list. he is a big supporter of hers on here. cant say anything bad about her. This thread fits CF. Absolutely pointless. Two sides going back and forth about the value of an All American that by most neutral observers would say undeserving based on her unwillingness to play any D.
Personally I wish her the best but am relieved she transferred. Seeing her jersey in the rafters would of been hard to stomach.
@Challenger06 so what do to disagree with?
The board is split on Crooks. Or I’m relieved her jersey will never be in the rafters. Either way you’re looking rather stupid.
Yep I agree with Brent Blum: “losing Audi Crooks was a gut punch of all gut punches.”he is a big supporter of hers on here. cant say anything bad about her.
