The nice thing about portal season is knowing that we'll all speculate about all of these players, and TJ will end up finding someone that fits his system better than them.

Interesting name - would seem to fit the "Heise roll" and be redundant with Trevian Carson from NDSU.
He redshirted and played 1 year at Akron, then 2 at Robert Morris. He's from Maryland, so its not obvious there's any specific connection to the current staff. He should have 1 year of eligibility left.
He's listed at 6'5" 205#, so a big bodied guard - that's pretty similar to Heise size.
He had a huge leap at Robert Morris this last year, shooting 37% from 3 on almost 7 attempts per game. He had a very good assist rate and a VERY good assist to turnover rate (120 assists, 27 turnovers).
Based on stats he's not a dominant defensive player (rebounding, steals, etc).
Maybe the best thing - he shot 85% from the FT line this year!!
The other nice thing is that we'll know who we get and who we don't in a couple of weeks instead of a couple of years!

They just became D-1 last year. You'd think Lavin would be able to do something but the transition has to take some time.

To add to this, I'd rather have Prather if I had to pick between the 2 anyway. I'll take the 6-5 200lb guard who can shoot and take care of the ball assuming he buys into the defensive program here at ISU
They have been D1 in basketball and play in the WCC with Gonzaga and St Mary’s
I think at this point everyone assumes we can get Carson super cheap and therefor a no brainer. However, I agree with you. Then again I don't know the NIL difference between the two. i don't know how well Carson or Prather would buy into what TJ is doing. Ill allow TJ to make that decision, I will not be sending him an email to give him my opinion.

You are not. Seen that KState would be the favorite right now. Things could always change but ISU hasn't been really involved with Carson looking at other prospects.
He's from DM and seemed like a good fit for a Heise-type player. That's all
ADDING: oh, and the lack of actual rumors or news until very recently
whoo that's high praise, but I can see the similarities. I'm a huge Sharp fan, absolutely love his game, so if this guy is even 1/2 of what Sharp is, sign me up.
