She certainly does not sound innocent here. But it does take two to tango. Feels like her business may be losing out on some contracts in the near future as well.

I didn't take the post as assigning blame, but as commentary on his (lack of) attractiveness.

As far as blame, sounds like both are suffering from some moral turpitude (allegedly anyway).
It sounds like it had financial benefits. Since she was seeking public resources for a private business. Or maybe his connections were attractive. It's not always about looks.
