JTS Improvements - Want More

You are clueless about Iowa fans.
I guess. Since I’m related to so many of them, most of my high school class (hundreds) are Hawk fans, dated several Iowa alums, half of my church here in Des Moines are Hawk fans, several of my doctors are Hawk fans and alums, my dentist is, he had sons go both to Iowa and ISU— and the three regularly attended games in Ames together. And we all trade good natured jokes and barbs.

What could I possibly know?

Some of you folks will say anything to rationalize being wrong.

Again, you are clueless what they're saying about you behind your back.

You must have not had the same experience growing up as most of us when it come to Iowa Fans, and the ones you do know must be very different than what many of us know.

Is all I can say. And Yes I do pretty much hate anything to do with that school.

Im sorry you cant distinguish the difference in people hating the virtue signaling and gas lighting, vs the action itself. There is a reason they threatened to sue ISU for AHF, because they cant handle being called out on their fake BS.
Just this morning, My son and I walked out of the DOCTORS office (not Iowa city, although we’ve been there many times for him and that hospital and how’s he’s treated there is amazing) and we both had on our cyclone gear. A grown ass man with his family with him that I do not know sees us and leans down toward my son and says “Go Hawks!” Then laughs sarcastically at us. We just kept walking and said nothing. My son knows the drill because this is not a singular event, you don’t respond to them. They hate that. Two Cyhawk games in Ames ago I had to explain to my daughter why a guy in a Fry shirt had his **** out and was pissing in middle of C3. Iowa fans are worst.

Yeah, there are a ton of them that believe they can get away with boorish behavior in the guise of "good natured ribbing". Even to total strangers. Look, I have friends that are iowa fans and we give each other crap. But to approach a total stranger and do that? My "F You" to them always gets some surprised faces. F them. They suck.

Their need to yell at us in public when we're total strangers is truly bizarre behavior that I don't understand. If I see a person in public with another team's shirt on, I either don't say anything or see it as a way to start a normal conversation, see where they're from, etc. I've never thought "I'll show them!"

Bookmarked it, will consider it.
Another good place to start would be to look at the funding from our state legislature for General Operations per student. The funding for Iowa students versus Iowa State students is approximately 20% higher. This discrepancy goes decades back. It is awful that it exists and that nobody talks about it.

These times were ahead of mine, but i think it all started with the digital computer in '39 and perfected the creation of pure uranium in good old Ames to help end wwII. That era was the creation of their inferiority complex. It has now morphed into what we all experience today, especially the non-iowa attendees who are fans.

The hancher thing (way before me) exhibited what they feared - a recognized research university. Marvin Pomerantz tried in a different way in the late 80's to hurt ISU. It failed.

What has squeezed by everyone is the significantly less general operations allocation per student. Why does ISU get less than Iowa? I don't know. It's ********.

Call your state Senator or rep. It's time to put a stop to this. They stopped fighting our growth, but for decades get more per student from our legislature.

And this is why I celebrate the deaths of the hockeye hierarchy. Fry, Pommerantz, Maly, Zabel, Gonder, Elliot. Those people were not just trying to make UI successful, they were trying to eliminate ISU. I don’t mean to be ghoulish, but those guys can rot in hell. I would have no problem pissing on Hancher auditorium. F those guys.

Finally, someone gets it!

I appreciate your attempt at a reasonable conversation on this. Unlike the people who just dumb me, don’t attempt a rebuttal, and just…isn’t a good look..

Under this category: “3. People who don't get that they don't get it”, here’s what you folks don’t get.

You feel entitled to regard Hawk fans as you do because of this false impression. Meanwhile, there are those of them who do exactly the same.

Which becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, and only feeds and grows on itself.

Those Hawk fan jackasses only act like jackasses because they think we’re all jackasses.

And you’re each in your own echo chamber. Everyone telling you you’re right.

Whoever chipped in with a Bible verse earlier should toss in the one that fits perfectly here. And you know what it is.

Anyway, that’s it for me. Have a good weekend, all.
F*ck the Hawks.

Being dense enough to believe they’re all like that is wild.
Certainly not all. But a fanbase is judged by the % of it that are total ******** and douchbags and arrogant f*cks. And Iowa has a much higher % than what is even considered average or normal. They were literally raised/trained to act this way from the late 70's on. It is statistically impossible for you to know that many suckeye fans and a certain % of them not fall into this category.

If Iowa State played an impromptu game in Japan tomorrow, you could bet your entire 401k that in the stands would be several suckeye logos, along with encounters on the streets of Tokyo of dbags yelling "go hawks!" at you. It is absolutely insane levels of arrogance and douchebaggery.

When I have had "Go Hawks" yelled at me, I respond, "You have my condolences".

It stuns them every time.
