'People are flat-out slobs': Jamie Pollard

Levy is not a good concessions company. From what I've heard, they have not been able to keep the role that oversees all of Iowa State's operations consistently filled
There is a lot of burn out in many concessions/catering operations jobs. We have gone through a ton of GMs at our catering/concessions partner's operation. They have a lot of pressure, a ton of hours and not a lot of margin for not making a target profit even if it is beyond their control.

I’m ready for Pollard to make a move somewhere else TBH.
Disagree, he does some head scratching stuff from time to time. But...

Pollard is probably one of the best equipped AD's in the country to handle the challenges ahead given his finance and business background.

I mean you could have had a guy like Gary Barta that alone should scare you

They’re even pretty rough at major venues across the country in bigger cities from what I’ve heard as well.

At times there's almost contempt for his market. Even adversarial to the slobs....err....fans and alumni of our fine school

But he's done a masterful job. A visionary with CyTown. Navigated (or just held on?) during multiple trips through the Big 12 realignment grinder.

He's a prick, but he's our prick.

I admit you are right. But as a lifelong die hard Cyclone fan who has spent the majority of his life supporting a doormat football program, I'm just so giddy about our current status that I get annoyed at folks taking shots at Pollard over something as stupid as $10 beer sales.
If I could mark this with x1000 Winner stars I would. Well said

You would have to have all of your product donated to reach 90% of revenues as profit and you probably still couldn't reach that number.

You are living in a fantasy land.

Yes, $900k is much better than nothing. I'm sure within the next few years...
Look that is the spread that AI stated on google, you don't; believe it, take it up with them. I did find this article today on ESPN.

The Big 12's West Virginia, with a budget of more than $80 million, began beer sales in 2011 in part to counter a problem with drunken fans coming and going from tailgate parties during games. Fans no longer are allowed to re-enter the stadium once they leave.

Beer sales have produced no less than $516,000 each of the past three years for West Virginia, and campus police report that alcohol-related incidents at Mountaineer Field have declined sharply.

So WV is bringing in an extra half million a year from alcohol, that is a half million that we are not.

Why should I be forced to block stupid people? It won’t stop others from being subjected to their stupidity.
