They weren’t top notch for sure the first couple quarters, but having Hanson running behind you instead of Sama makes a big difference.

It appears to me, and I could definitely be wrong, his vision in the line is bad. He cannot find the holes quick enough. Always a step too slow in deciding which makes him always want to bump it to the edge. Has the burst of a top tier back but not the vision.

It’s almost like K-State is the best front 7 we will see this regular season and it’s a week 0 game across an ocean or something.

The line was MAULING K-State off the ball in the 4Q.

I don’t think we’ll see a better defensive front 7 in the regular season. K-States defensive scheme threw us for a loop in the first half. Campbell said they played a scheme they hadn’t seen before from them. Heck of a job by the coaching staff and offensive line to make the adjustments to dominate the line of scrimmage as the game went on.

It was such a slog all around in that first half. I’m gonna chalk it up to that. Conditions seemed to settle in the second half.
