He looks pretty well put together. Not a typical freshman “twig” big man that looks like they’ve never seen a weight room. Really glad he made it for the majority of summer workouts! Holding out hope that he can be a contributor this year!!
I completely agree on the overuse of the word "issue" in headlines. And other language that present things as worse or more problematic than they are.Good to know. That will end speculation and hand-wringing.
General comment, directed to the CycloneFanatic tweet. Based on info I've gathered, it wasn't truly a visa "issue," more of a delay in receiving the paperwork. "Issue" suggests there was a dispute over validity, et. al.
In recent years, I've noticed writers tend to use "issue" when they actually mean "situation" or (in some cases) "topic."
Sorry for sidetrack-soapboxing.
Good point, "etc." is more appropriate for what I wrote.I completely agree on the overuse of the word "issue" in headlines. And other language that present things as worse or more problematic than they are.
If you'll indulge me on the language sidetrack. Etc. is probably the correct choice in your sentence. Et alii in Latin roughly means "and others" and is typically used to shorten a list of people. Also, there is no period after et in et al. since only the second Latin word is being abbreviated.
I had a period of time where I always typed ect., it sort of became muscle memory. I still have to slow down and think when I type out etc.Good point, "etc." is more appropriate for what I wrote.
I think I've been mis-punctuating et al for ... a while. Good reminder.
Don't think I've ever seen KU ranked that low ever. They're No. 33, not even in the top 25. When's the last time KU entered a basketball season unranked? Has the rot started to settle in with Self?
I has a sad for him.I know a Hawkeye fan who is absolutely livid that Iowa State is "getting a professional player from Germany". He's making excuses already for their upcoming loss in Hilton this season.
