From what I’ve seen most of the ratings services just kind of pick what weights they think guys will be at, not sure that’s the same for wrestlestat but my guess is it’s just their internal projections.

I would imagine they go off years prior and obviously with ech they would have just assumed he moves up with Jfrost being a AA.
So heres my take.

He was 145 as a JR in HS and 157 as a SR so probably a chance, but he's been at 165 the last two seasons.
2023 Soldier Salute he was at 165 already. Lost to PK and came back to get 3rd.
Flip Ech and JFrost possibly. Hopefully Ech is healthy by then. I think 184 will be Dean/Tate, Bartelt subs at 197 with Elam. heard rumor CJ Carter may try to get to 197 also but not sure.
I think Ech will be at 141 and J Frost at 149, but that could change over the summer
Bartlet should be a lifer at 184. If anyone can bulk up it’s Tate. I also think if healthy Bartlet makes a real run at Dean to earn that spot.
That would be a 35-40 pound cut but with Yonger & Peanut, it may be his only chance to get on the mat.
I mean he is a JUCO national champ, so he's not like horrible. But, I haven't seen him wrestle so don't know.
It sounds like Elam will be on a 'pitch count' of sorts given his injury history so won't be wrestling all the time. Someone is going to have to man 197. Have not seen Carter, but if he's not capable he shouldn't be on the roster if roster limits are truly going to be a thing.
Given the cluster **** of injuries last year, I am completely fine with a pitch count. Have him go in the big duals and then let him eat in March. It makes sense.
I think there are plenty of guys that are capable of spot filling in and winning matches against lower/unranked opponents. Carter, Bartelt, Tate all will be fine. We need Elam for Iowa, OSU, UNI, conference and nationals.
CRTC posted on FB about the beginning of their summer workout regiment and mentioned the program will be in good hands with a “Runyon” at the helm?! Related to or the HWT grad from UNI?
Good to see Elam there, not sure who the guy is in the pink shirt? Any ideas?
Also McRae Hagerty is still there assuming with the lack of depth at 184 and Elam on a “pitch count” at 97 maybe he finds a way to the mat with Schon leaving?
