Wow qualifying is nuts. Aston Martin both knock Ferrari out. Sainz goes fastest in Q2. Antonelli out with the Ferraris. This is awesome
Yea that’s crazy that Sainz was first. Ferrari was already having a bad year, but completely blowing in your home race is going to add a lot of pressure to them.

I’m not anti Ferrari. I just like to see the midfield drivers have some success. Especially Sainz because he got dropped by what is starting to seem like an over the hill Hamilton

At what point are we going to start talking about Lando losing confidence? Clearly the only reason he is doing good right now is because of his car. Mac drives that car and he smokes Oscar every week

Probably have some time, he’s been a top driver for years at this point and wdc runner up last year, not to mention we’re only 6 races in and he’s only 16 points back. No need to overreact to everything.

Not overreacting but he’s clearly not the same driver he was at the start of the season or last season

It's not just you, everyone overreacts to everything, the guy has only not been on the podium once this year, it just so happens that Oscar is killing it at the moment. We've still got 18 races to go.

Lando has been good but Oscar has been a machine so far this year. Like Miami, Lando was faster all weekend and made that one mistake with Max on the first lap and it was over.

I'm hoping we get some races where they are going head to head soon, haven't really seen much of that yet.

It continues to feel like Lando is his own worst enemy. Ever since Sochi when he refused to pit in the rain, it felt like his winless streak came down to his own mental pressure. But even once he won one, it felt like winning additional races would become its own pressure. It can only be further pressure that his young teammate is doing so well so soon, especially given the number of self-sabotaging public comments Lando has made since then. That isn't even considering how demonstrably cool Oscar is under pressure.

Max gets the 1st lap pass done. Now will anybody be able to get around him on this particular track? Probably unlikely.
