2025 NFL Draft

Agree with you - we aren’t desperate for edge (we are for interior DL) but you can never have too many pass rushers as evidenced by the 2007 and 2011 teams. When you draft for need, you end up with Daniel jones at #6 or John Michael Schmitz as your second round pick. That is why we’ve sucked for a decade.
I think we've sucked because of just bad vision and crappy picks. Last year when they realized they weren't going to get a QB they went with a huge area of need in Nabers. That's worked out.

I hate the giants trading up to get Dart. Gave up drafting a potential contributors at 34 and 99 to get a developmental guy who will likely start the season on the bench. Dart doesn’t help them win next season. But they gave up a chance to get the DT from Toledo (Alexander) or the DT from Texas (Collins), both would have helped out run defense. No OL depth pieces to challenge 34-year-old Van Roten at RG or JMS at center.

This is why we suck.

You wanted the Giants to take another DT after taking Carter at #3? How many defensive linemen do you want on this team? Lol.

Agree with Nabers - best player available. The crappy picks is what I’m talking about - you don’t draft for need, you draft the best guy who is there. Too many times, we’ve drafted for need and it has blown up in our faces because it was a reach who didn’t pan out.

I like the pick. Dart is a good QB and they can sit him and develop him this year and not worry about throwing him out there too early.

Yes!! You do realize there are different positions on the DL, right? You need someone to put with Dex and someone to give him a breather. Can’t be rolling or DJ Davidson and expect to win.

Good DL keeps makes teams play behind the chains. A 1st and 10 becomes 2nd and long. The other team has to throw and you have a pass rush to get a sack or hurry them into a bad throw, creating a TO. It helps your LBs and DBs play better.

That is how we won in 86, 90, 07 and 11. That is how the eagles beat the chiefs this past year.

Just watched Mahoney's and Woody's podcast with Noel and Porter. Amazing young men. Smart, personable, quick thinkers, etc, etc...
Porter is going places, Well beyond the football field.
Great pod!
Pleeeez, be drafted tomorrow, both of you!

Lol, I do know that. Which is why taking Carter is so weird to me, taking an edge when we have two elite edge guys already. I agree we could use someone on the interior to pair with DL but be real, we have three outright studs on the DL right now. We already have one of the better DLs in the league.

And I'd argue the reason the Eagles beat the Chiefs was as much because of the Eagles' OL as the DL.

Alexander and Collins both have a 2nd-3rd round grade. You got the 1st pick of round 3. One of those guys could still be there. If not then they could maybe get TJ Sanders. Interior o-line is something they also need to upgrade.

Carter is probably the best overall player in the draft and you got a good QB with franchise potential.

I thought Dart was a great pick. It’s not like the Giants are going to win anything next year. Might as well get a quarterback to develope. If they were on the verge of a Super Bowl it would have been a terrible pick. However, dat has major potential
