I think the Bears prefer Loveland over Warren if they even go TE.
You turned out to be correct. You and very few others.
I just don't get the Bears te thing.
Greater needs imho.
All I can figure, Kmet hasn't lived up to expectations. I kinda agree.
Trust in Ben Johnson, I guess.

They got a lot of positions that need an upgrade. I'd bet they take WR Luther Burden

Odd they don't seem interested in a QB this year.

De facto tanking for cap space and draft capital next year to tank one more season while tapping their feet waiting for the horrid Watson deal to expire finally so they can start over...?

Johnson ran 2 TE sets in Detroit last year like over 30% of the time. Believe that was 2nd or 3rd most in the entire League.

And yep, S. Sanders will rule the NFL draft yap tomorrow.
Can only imagine the # of shots/videos we'll see, of his custom built, "Draft Mancave."

Gonzo complaining all night about his team taking the consensus top 2 overall prospect at #3 is hilarious.

Sure, they could have picked Campbell, Jeanty, or McMillan there but I guarantee you any of those teams would gladly accept Carter in a trade for any of those guys.

Kmet is more of a blocking TE while Loveland will be more of a receiving threat. In terms of ISU, think of it like having Kolar and Allen.

This will be interesting to watch. Like you said, he'll be the first to try to do this. I honestly didn't think he would hold up in college either but that worked out. I think it's a win no matter what for Jacksonville. They are the least exciting team in the league every year, even when they are good, no one really talks much about them. Hunter raises their profile big time, he'll be one of the highest selling jersey's in the league, he will bring eyeballs on TV and a huge upswing in social media attention. He brings the Coach Prime audience, which is massive and passionate. Even if he flops, they're the Jags, everyone expects them to suck, if you're going to be bad, you might as well be cool and popular.

I'm not sure I'd agree he held up playing both ways in college. Last year went ok but the year before he was either out or playing hurt for the second half of the season.

I don't foresee him playing full time on both sides of the ball in the nfl but he doesn't have to to be worth the trade.

Don't love picking a te in the top 10, but they didn't pass up anyone obvious to do so.

Time will tell if they chose the right tight end

A couple of thoughts.

The Ohio State-Texas-Georgia CFB World is going to get old really fast. Hell, it already is.

Why in the world would any sane person want to go stand out in a big crowd like that for hours to watch that?

Bah Humbug!

Yeah I would have preferred they go OL but it wasn't a bad reach
