Was hoping for A LOT more rain.
Looks like we can hopefully get that starting Sunday.
Im starting to give up on my seed that I put down two weeks ago.Well we ended up with .17" in Waukee. Not enough, but I'm not going to complain at this point. That alone should help the grass seed I threw down on Monday and have been constantly watering since.
As someone who works in insurance, these hail photos are making me cringe. *waits for claims to pour in*
Hopefully the people that had this happen, realize to have them check their outside air-condition unit, many people forget about having those checked and hail just beats the heck out of the fins on the side, reducing air flow. We had a storm like this years ago, and our insurance adjuster did not check, and we ended up replacing the unit that summer. As someone who works in insurance, these hail photos are making me cringe. *waits for claims to pour in*

Grapefruit outside of Councitucky
I see them as ding's in spouse's bonus next year. NE, IA, and CO take a nice bite out.
People get bonuses? I sure don't.
I've learned my lesson with grass seed. Just my experiences but I've had way better luck waiting until mid May. Once the soil temp warms up that stuff germinates in a few days and the grass grows really fast. I've had terrible luck in early spring.
