Well we ended up with .17" in Waukee. Not enough, but I'm not going to complain at this point. That alone should help the grass seed I threw down on Monday and have been constantly watering since.

Looks like we got enough to tamp down the mulch we just put out, but not much more than that. I went to sleep just as it was starting to rumble, and our pup who normally freaks out during thunder and hard rain never woke us up, so it must have died down by the time it reached us.

Was hoping for A LOT more rain.
Looks like we can hopefully get that starting Sunday.

It really poured here in SC WI but at least two hours of that would have been great.

As someone who works in insurance, these hail photos are making me cringe. *waits for claims to pour in*
Hopefully the people that had this happen, realize to have them check their outside air-condition unit, many people forget about having those checked and hail just beats the heck out of the fins on the side, reducing air flow. We had a storm like this years ago, and our insurance adjuster did not check, and we ended up replacing the unit that summer.

I've learned my lesson with grass seed. Just my experiences but I've had way better luck waiting until mid May. Once the soil temp warms up that stuff germinates in a few days and the grass grows really fast. I've had terrible luck in early spring.

100%. I read that and was like, you’re making your own bad luck!
