In all seriousness if they were wiped out in past 500 years by unsustainable actions of men it’s probably more natural to bring them back.

This one is 10k years though.

Thylacine and dodo if the animals are healthy it’s better they exist.

Unsustainable actions of men are natural. This is evolution at work.

My biggest issue with this is that they are introducing physical specimens into environment without context. A direwolf dropped into a forest is introducing a foreign animal. There is no lineage or knowledge base from parents to children.

Except "they" are not dropping anything into a forest. They are in a controlled and contained environment.

LOL I thought it was a movie title, interesting article though.
I would disagree with the bioethesis that said these wolves and if the create a Mammoth aren't being lead a full life. They sure as hell weren't around when these animals were. If you were extinct then alive who can determine what is right the company is taking good physical care of the animals they create.
