I wonder if Iowa fans are happy getting rid of Fran now. They were fixing to have a very solid team next year.

Transfer pg/harding
Dix
Pryce
Koch
Freeman

Plus their young guys that played this year who have all transferred.

And a top 20 recruiting class that have all de committed.

Ouch.
They had to do it, as Fran was going to find a way to make that group just slightly above average. Not sure how the Iowa Bulldogs is going to work out for them next year, but I think they did get a good coach if he can recruit the level of players that he needs there and get them to play in that system.

I live in eastern Iowa and have a lot of Hok friends, None of them wanted Fran gone because it would lead to this. But once Fran was gone, they all wanted McCollum over DeVries. (granted this is just my group of friends that felt this way)

He was not 17 year old. He is few months younger than an ordinary freshman. He is all around good player but not exceptional at anything
That’s a crazy take and wonder if you’re just being contrary because of the hype. But this kid should be a senior in high school. He played up to the level of NBA all stars against the US Olympic team last summer. He was the 4th freshman ever to win the AP Player of the Year and the youngest to ever win it. Yeah, he is an “all around good player.”

Player of the year should be Bloome not him

This 100%…. And probably every one of the top 6 players we had this season!!
I can’t believe I’m doing this, but you do know Drake won as many NCAA tournament games as we did, beat a better team than we did and lost a much closer game to a much better team that us, right?

And before you say “but, but, but we beat Texas Tech and Drake didn’t”, Lipsey had 9 points and 2 assists in an OT game against them. Stirtz had 21 and 8.

Look…I love Tamin, but you're glossing Stirtz.

they are happy
They are never happy. Not with their AD, Coaches, players, or each other. I’ve never seen a fan base attack each other like they do. Cannibalistic.

Johni had a great season, but Flagg had higher usage and better efficiency, even if I think Broome had a touch better season defensively. If we’re talking the last 20 games it’s clearly Flagg who was just historically good
Bloome played against higher competition than Flagg. ACC was trash this year. Bloome had more rebounds and blocks and less turnovers against much better competition.

Wonder what Lipsey would average if he didn’t have Keshon, Curtis and Milan getting points and it was just Tamin and a bunch of lower level players

That’s been part of the discussion and Lipsey did play 34 minutes in that game.

He’s a warrior. I love him. But there is no such thing as “healthy” Lipsey. He’s been injured since his freshman year in high school.
He had a groin injury and only played because he had to. I really like Stirtz, and sure Tamin has been injured a lot, but an injured groin is far different than a wrapped up hand.
