I live in eastern Iowa and have a lot of Hok friends, None of them wanted Fran gone because it would lead to this. But once Fran was gone, they all wanted McCollum over DeVries. (granted this is just my group of friends that felt this way)
I have dozens of Iowa fans and EVERY one wanted Fran gone. Your friends aren't bright. Nobody was going to the games. It was a no-brainer move.

We are about to find out! We will have Milan, Jefferson, Heise, and some new players (not lower level by any means).

Tamin's senior year. There will be a lot of Tamin to Jefferson, I think. And it would be nice if he stays healthy! Let's Go!!!
I would take a backcourt that had both Lipsey and Stirtz. Two completely different players that would seem to complement each other. I would echo that Lipsey would have similar Stirtz numbers if he played in the Valley. He would just get them in a different manner. Both of them have been proven winners wherever they have played.

If big schools are going to continue to recruit freshman, they better be prepared to redshirt like the old days. Schools have 15 scholarships next year and even with all of the injuries this year, we only went 9 deep as far as scholarship players (Kelderman - walk-on).

My friends are Hok fans, of course they aren’t bright. But they were excited about Fran’s incoming class (now gone), and they knew what going nuclear meant for the immediate future. I don’t care who coaches Iowa.

I do feel sorry for you though. I thought I had it bad cuz I have a half dozen Hok friends. You have to put up with DOZENS of those idiots? WOW

My Hawk friends are awesome..or they wouldn't be my friends. Simple, really.
I don't have to put up with people.

Bobby Knight might have been ahead of his time. In the late 1990's he placed guys like Tom Coverdale and his son Pat at a prep school for a 5th year of HS.

Could this become the new norm for HS kids like Batemon & Mitchell, especially if players sign multiple year NIL deals with a school. By going to an elite prep school the kids would play against better competition during their 5th year instead of sitting on the bench.
