Maybe should serve as one...I think you're on to something here. That sideline Mike the refs use reminds me of a breathalyzer

Lightning...No one wants players getting lighter. ;-)We will never be as athletic as these 2nd weekend teams, unless we strike lightening in a bottle
I'd prefer lightning in a bottle. You were thinking frosted tips?We will never be as athletic as these 2nd weekend teams, unless we strike lightening in a bottle
Otz knows him from coaching him on the under 19 team, so the slow UVA offensive may not have fully utilized his offensive skills. I'll trust Otz to know more about his offensive potential than anyone on this board.I’m fine with the staff being really confident in the freshman as I noted…![]()
Right, it'll still be a solid team. I thought the point was to continue to improve? Our floor is probably similar, but the ceiling decreased imho.Good Lord, you would think we were replacing every player on our roster, not returning Lipsey, JJ, Milan. And Heise. We'll be ranked top 15 at worst to start the year.
NOT FROSTED TIPS BANNEDI'd prefer lightning in a bottle. You were thinking frosted tips?
Probably in the 5-7 seed range unless we get Cluff, get a better 2, or if one of the freshman is Lipsey/ Hunter quality right away.Right, it'll still be a solid team. I thought the point was to continue to improve? Our floor is probably similar, but the ceiling decreased imho.
I think that's my point. These additions have been a wash. I figured the plan of the offseason would be to improve upon the weaknesses.Where we were getting cooked was off of high ball screens and switches. What they’ve done in the post is upgrade the ability to guard. Everyone they signed is more mobile defensively than who they’re replacing. If they get Cluff, it’s a clear improvement at the 4/5. If not, it’s closer to a wash than a downgrade.
I’m more concerned about replacing Gilbert and Jones. But, I also think that people are writing off Batemon mostly because Nojus didn’t work out.
My doctor calculated my BMI...he said I was too short. He’s a foot taller than me yet same weight.
How did Jackson become epitome of athleticism? He's more athletic than a 6'11" Jackson. And it's not close. If he has Chatfield's motor- it's a win.
Fair. Margins are small at ISUI think another factor not being mentioned a lot is FT shooting. If you're not going to wow anyone with your athleticism or offensive skills, then you better knock down free throws.
So far in the post we've added a career 45% FT shooter and a career 52% FT shooter. Yikes. I hoped we'd never return to the BRE free throws = a turnover days.
You realize what % of our offense is walking out the door…. I agree there is chuck coming back but most of players coming back lack consistency.Good Lord, you would think we were replacing every player on our roster, not returning Lipsey, JJ, Milan. And Heise. We'll be ranked top 15 at worst to start the year.
I don’t think we get to use the Shayok multiplier here. That was a really good UVa team that played a painfully slow pace.5 and 5 at UVA is 10 and 10 anywhere else, they are #346 in ppg
Exactly. He comes in already ahead of the curve in that he can play TJ style D. Let Kyle Green work his magic and we could be looking at a great overall player (Buchanan) for next season.Players that play for Tony Bennett don’t see the floor unless they can play defense. Sound familiar?
Tony Bennett was a mentor to TJ. If those two see Buchanan as a valuable asset to their teams then that is all I need to know.
Good footwork, nice one-handed shot in the paint, and a good passer as well.Completely agree. Good athlete with some nice touch in the post. Likes to play defense. Former top 100 recruit. Really solid addition.
