Number of transfers in the portal currently. At first glance it looks like Cyclones have a problem with fleeing, but Penn State is only one short. This just shows that if you don't know the inside stories, you cannot rely on this to determine if there is an issue with people fleeing a program.

Anyone who is throwing up flags at this point is in for a wild ride. Rosters need to get down to 30 there will be lots of guys from all over that are going to have to portal if they want to try and find a starting lineup spot

It may actually be good for lower divisions. Grand View tends to clean up in situations like this.

This still isn’t any sort of official documentation on this from the NCAA. Anybody leaving now wouldn’t have anything to do with this. For all anyone knows that won’t go until effect until 2029. Anything I’ve read is still speculation unless you have a press release you want to share with us

I thought Dresser told me that it is still scheduled to happen this Summer. And students are having to lock in housing for next year.

This may be correct but schools including ISU are all aligning to a July 1 timeframe. Dresser told me this weekend he has to be down to a 30 member team on Nov 1.

The judge rules whether to accept the settlement in entirety or in part on April 7 . There have been filings opposing certain things like the roster limits and the title IX stuff . Hard to think she will be that surgical but who knows .

He was one of few UNC guys at the soldier salute.

Take that as you wish.

I doubt the UNC coaches came to IC for the Salute to showcase their guys to transfer to Iowa.

Now, Daniel Cardenas...that's a different story, which fits your narrative.

I'll tell you who isn't worry about it - Cael and penn state. They have 6 guys in their 2025 recruiting class not including the ono kid, so 7. And just got a flip from one of the top 5 kids in 2026. They are still stockpiling as many kids as they want. But here we are losing the number 2 kid on the 2022 big board. Number 3 on that same big board is now a 2x national champ who Casey beat a couple times

Pretty strong rumor Joe Sealy is transferring out of Penn State who was ranked 1st on the 2024 big board (I believe)

Also, Casey beating Mendez was great but they are 2 very different wrestlers now. Casey was also quite a bit bigger than Mendez during those matches. I wanted Casey to stick around, but not everyone is fine with sitting in today's day and age.
