WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Another player down for USC...

Samuels ? (Appears to be ok after hitting her head on a hard fall after a layup & common foul call)

A meniscus is a possibility I suppose. Kiki could probably win this game herself but losing JuJu is a big blow for the rest of the tournament

Meniscus hurts for sure, but that alone is not usually something that elicits that reaction generally. Either way, I don’t see her back for this tournament.

Big 12 equals last year's two teams in the Sweet 16 (Texas & Baylor). We should have had three had Baylor not fallen apart in the 4th quarter against Ole Miss.

Now, let's see if we can get one to the Elite Eight this year like Texas did last year.

The JuJu injury sucks for WBB. Was looking forward to watching more in the Sweet Sixteen.

I am not much for personal records, especially with five year players gaming the stats for career marks, but she was projected to make a run at Clark's scoring mark and that maybe won't happen now. It was a storyline for promoting NCAA WBB.

Going to think she'll be back in 2026-2027 as a senior and go WNBA than so maybe only a three year player now. Or, not, she and her family have real home commitment to LA and Watts (going back to her grandparents) so maybe she'll do a graduate year at USC. I'd prefer seeing her play NCAA than for some bad WNBA team that will get her draft pick. Guessing with her visibility and endorsements (assuming they don't fade some with her not playing) she'll make more from NIL than the modest WNBA salary.

AZ schools will be 2nd the Big 12 for a while. Coach change and complete turnover at ASU and now AZ losing more players to. Think that's three starters for AZ bailing now.

ACL injury…she will be back next season.

Wouldn't surprise me if it is more towards the middle to later part of the season though. Guessing they will be very cautious with her return with the future she has. Think it will be more towards 9 months recovery than the sometimes quicker 6 months recovery time.
