Groin I think. Other interesting point was him saying he “definitely” thought it was a good idea to rest in the Big 12 TournamentHaha which injury?
Dude's warrior but feels like he's just patched up all over.

I'm going to preface all this by saying TJ knows more about basketball than I'll ever know.
That said, the ONLY remedy I know of for a pulled groin is lots of rest. Even though Tamin said that today his current state is north of 80%, I'd give serious consideration to not playing him at all tomorrow or using him only in an emergency situation.
It is so easy to tweak a pulled groin and make it much worse. If Tamin does play significant minutes tomorrow, I think there's a reasonable chance he could be worse or not available at all on Sunday, and a much lesser chance that he'll be better than he is now. On the other hand, if we sit Tamin for one more game, that gives him a couple more days of complete rest and a much better chance to be near 100%.
Based on our last game's performance without our 2 starting guards, I guess I'd rather gamble that we can beat Lipscomb without Tamin and maximize our chances for getting to the second weekend of the tournament. As I said, I'll trust whatever TJ decides, but that's probably what I would do.

The thumb has been fully cleared for some time but he still wears the tape because he feels like it helps his shot.Haha which injury?

Of course we can't count of beating Liscomb without Tamin. Similarly, we can't count on getting to the second weekend without a near 100% Tamin. I guess I'd rather gamble on the game we're favored to win by 14.5 points.Obvisouly you hope he can sit a lot. But I don't think we can count on beating them without Tamin.
I hear you, but given what TJ and Tamin have said about his steady rate of improvement each day, I think a couple more days of rest would make a huge difference. That's just my opinion, though. Then again it’s about two days in between games. So is that extra two days worth it? Might as well find out if his groin holds up in game one and that way we know who we have for sure in game two. Rather than going into game two thinking he will be fine
Watch him defend on the perimeter. He moves his feet very quickly on defense.Chatfield quick feet on defense? Are we watching the same thing? The guy has to be top 10 in the country for fouling a guy at the top of the key to prevent from being blown by
Especially with Drake winning. That's a little extra juice. So, anyone else getting that pre-tournament nervousness
Love it. Shih, McCollum might even be too rich for Iowa's blood now lol! He'll have suitors. I don't know what other openings will surface, but there'll be something...Especially with Drake winning. That's a little extra juice.
The odds are slim, but it'd sure be nice, and spite the Hawkeyes something ferocious, if McCollum stayed put at Drake.Love it. Shih, McCollum might even be too rich for Iowa's blood now lol! He'll have suitors. I don't know what other openings will surface, but there'll be something...
In a way, Lipscomb is similar to Drake in that they don't shoot until deep in the shot clock (low possession game) and they shoot a lot of 3's. That said, I don't think they are as good as Drake.
Still, I think Lipscomb will frustrate us with their slow pace. Hopefully, we can speed them up with our defense and dictate the pace.
Hopefully this doesn’t come off as kicking the guy when he’s down, but the least patient guy on the team won’t be playing tomorrowISU will need to be patient which unfortunately doesn't seem to be a strength.
It's OK, Rasir transferred a few years ago.Hopefully this doesn’t come off as kicking the guy when he’s down, but the least patient guy on the team won’t be playing tomorrow
Church Fellowship on Sundays or Bible Study Group on Tuesdays.I have been searching around online to see if Lipscomb basketball has any type of fan forum like Cyclone Fanatic. I haven't found one. Anyone else seen one?
I think we've got such a huge advantage down low that TJ will make sure we get the ball in the paint every possession.ISU will need to be patient which unfortunately doesn't seem to be a strength.
