Job thread

End of week 3. Hours cut next week with isu spring break. I have Friday through Monday off. Glad because I can see selection shows Sunday.

Going a little bit better. Back hasn't been issue I thought it would but knees are bad. This week in addition to knee sleeves on my bad right knee I've added a brace with the sleeve.

Those sleeves are gold. I did that a couple years ago.

Sorry, I haven’t been following this thread very closely, but how did you cope with your pain while working at Old Chicago?

It’s been 3 weeks already? Hopefully the time is flying for you as well.

Well today sucked. I was helping take out trash and that went fine coming up we normally take trash bin through dining area but dinner service had started. So the guy I took trash out with and i were going through double doors to kitchen that are right off where elevator we have to take is.

Unbeknownst to us in front of us a syrup type mix was all over the floor and I slipped and fell. Again as I fell into it covered my shoes and pants. of course this happens when mbb is walking by. I feel alright for the most part being embarrassment being the main feeling. Eventually got to my feet which was hard not only because I'm a fat **** but as my shoes were covered in it it was hard to get any traction.

Went home to change then went back which took almost an hour. We were already behind as couple people called in.

I need a drink.

Hope you're feeling OK this morning. Sometimes bruises don't show and aches don't start until later.
Wondering how that stuff could be all over the floor and no one else had done anything about it? Seems like a hazard for many. And just a reminder - don't accept blame for anything that is not your fault.

It's feeling rougher right now. I guess the spill just had happened and gm was coming back with the mop bucket when my fall happened.

Take care of your body. I'm beat up right now too from my physical job. Knee hurts when I do stairs, strained abdominal muscles (I hope and not a hernia) sore rotator cuffs and lower back. Gotta find time to recover in this crazy demanding world. Yoga is a great way I handle soreness and keep my joints healthy, I recommend it to everyone. Hope you feel better.
