I literally LOL’d when Gameday (Thamel, I think), mentioned Kelderman as one to look to get minutes! If that happens, we are waving the white flag early, or getting destroyed! Kelderman, the walk on??!!
The Keyshawn and Curt news really took the steam out of Gameday. At least JW acknowledges their pregame hype went out the window. Bilas not so much.

Whoa Thamel just said on Gameday they’re expecting minutes from Kelderman today? I hope that’s a busted report or ISU is messing with ESPN. He’s our next best guard over Nojus?

Heise will start? Seems like we'll see some bigger lineups with more Dwat, wonder who gets some run? Watson getting a little more PT against a team like Houston might be a bit of a blessing, he matches up decent against their front court.
A bigger concern is who's going to relieve Tamin at PG? Perhaps Jefferson similar to how we used Niang at times. But, I don't think he has the handle Niang has. Maybe Heise....

Hey honestly Kelderman is a dog, don’t disrespect him. He was a goat along with sandfort at Waukee NW. Should be starting d2 somewhere but opted to come to ISU

It’s not a “disrespect” thing. He’s listed at 6’1” 185 and I wouldn’t call him an explosive athlete. Houston’s smallest player is 6’1” 200 and that guy is LJ Cryer.

Curious what some posters are gonna say in the Game Day thread now that all of their "Cmon Keshon, you've gotta be better than that" posts are out of the picture. Back to hammering on Heise the first time he misses a shot?

TJ and the rest of the team aren't planning on just showing up and taking an L. It's a tall task, but we still have a lot of players that are wearing jerseys tomorrow. May as well win.
No, the first second and third time in a row he passes up a wide open three or layup. Let's hope the Colorado game finally gave him the confidence to overcome that.

I know lol. He isn’t athletic at all but is a very smart player. Wouldn’t be shocked to see a couple of spot minutes for him today, was discussing this with a buddy of mine because true PG wise today we have nobody to back him up, best option is either Jefferson bringing ball up which I don’t see or heise. Think Kelderman gets maybe 7 minutes today

Anyone have experience with a lower body muscle strain? Any chance someone Gilbert's age could heal resting it a week or is likely a long-term thing that he will only recover from in the offseason. I would guess the latter.

More accurate thing to say would've been Big 12 titles hopes-- but also extremely unlikely even with a win today.

Or seeding for the NCAA Tournament-- also not likely to take too big of a hit today.

Speaking of seeding, who do we want in this early TN vs TAMU game? Which winner helps us more?

There is no substitute for game time experience in order to get better is my point. We'll just have to disagree.

How do you know that? Did Lipsey get better at shooting 3s from game experience?

So play Nojas in a tight game and do something like let a big run happen in the name of experience?

Did Nojas not play a lot in November?

I think it's been an issue for much of the season.

Depending where it is things can take 2 weeks to heal, one month to rehab unless it's just a mild recurring pull or something.

This makes me wish that Otz would let the bench play more than the last minute of a game when are up by 20 in the 4th quarter. Nojus would have benefitted from more minutes in those games.
Understand
But, our 20 point lead went to 12 in one minute. Only a couple of that gang ready for prime time.

Kelderman can actually handle the ball pretty well just as a straight PG role. His hands aren't bad for some spot minutes, since both of the other ball runners we have are out...

Yeah right now Nojus isn’t ready to play significant minutes. That’s okay, not a lot of freshman can. We’re also loaded heavy at the guard positions 2-3. Not a lot of minutes there. He’s not good enough to justify him getting minutes.
