Yeah right now Nojus isn’t ready to play significant minutes. That’s okay, not a lot of freshman can. We’re also loaded heavy at the guard positions 2-3. Not a lot of minutes there. He’s not good enough to justify him getting minutes.
A highly-recruited freshman should be able to get more spot minutes than a token walk-on spot in emergency situations. If he’s not, that’s disconcerting. Just my two cents

We should be rooting for a TAMU and Wisconsin loss right now, according to Lunardi they’re neck and neck with us on the 2 line

He got some run against auburn this year, and i felt like he did well. I also think Auburn is a better team than UH, and Nojus has had some time to develop

I would agree but Nojus is going to play today?

I think it has more to do with minutes than anything but you’re right. I also think TJ and the staff know what they’re doing and aren’t playing him to spite him or anything.

How do you know that? Did Lipsey get better at shooting 3s from game experience?

So play Nojas in a tight game and do something like let a big run happen in the name of experience?

Did Nojas not play a lot in November?
I guess I would ask a couple questions, how do you know playing Nojus would result in a big run? And how do you expect Nojus to adjust to pressure situations or feel comfortable in uncomfortable situations without getting game experience? Can't simulate that in practice.

Improving your shot in practice or by putting in extra hours in the gym is one thing, learning how to get a feel for the game and learning to just play and not think too much requires actual playing time.

I agree with @HouClone, I think Nojus would benefit from more playing time, especially in a hostile situation like this. I really don't see a downside at this point with Gilbert and Jones out.

Who knows, it may bring out the dog in him and he shines.

Yeah if Nojus gets minutes today and Kelderman comes in to just give some guys a couple minutes of rest that’s fine.

I was just going off Thamel’s report that Kelderman will see some minutes, but he didn’t specify Nojus. So I was like wtf.

I don't know, but the coaches do, and when he has played he's gotten beat a bit on D.

I'm not saying he should or shouldn't play, but I fail to see how throwing out in a tight game in the first half of a January conference game does much for anyone and it's clear the people that see him and communicate with him every day know where things stand.

17-1 with our complete roster and we still have people talking about getting guys PT in conference games like it’s a 5th grade team where everyone plays.

I don’t think the 4 star recruit is comparable to a fat 5th grader

Not sure if you’re referencing me, but I don’t care about the experience. I’m talking about putting forth a competitive effort today.

If Nojus, a 4-star freshman, can’t beat out Kelderman, a token spot walk-on, to give us the best chance to win, that’s doesnt say much for Nojus.

Wasn’t specifically referencing you and anyone really.
