How long before Tim Lester loses his shine? We've seen this story play out before. Iowa hates their OC, he leaves, they hire a new one and he's the golden boy for a season or two, and then the fans turn on him, he leaves, rinse/repeat.

Especially the part about the timeout. The clock stopped but starts back up when the ball gets set. It doesn’t stop completely until under 2 minutes.
I was gonna say the same thing. It’s hilarious because you can’t even blame that on auto correct. Dude is just that dumb.
I forgot about Greg Davis. He was going to bring in that Texas offense that won the National Championship with Vince Young. It was just unfortunate that it didn’t work with Iowa’s QBs that were at a slightly lower level than Young.

I think he just needs time. Run it back with Ferentz, Lester, and Sullivan. They’ve earned that right with what they accomplished this season. To change up the staff or hit the transfer portal would be a slap in the face to this team and the work they’ve put in.
Wouldn’t Iowa had a better chance of winning if they punted instead of the fourth down quarterback sneak? After all, I have been told punting is winning.
Strangely, I actually think you’re right. They had a better chance to recover a muffed punt than for that offense to drive from midfield and score.

Listened to Downs and Hassel. Of course summary was ISU celebrated the bowl like the Superbowl.....it was merely an exhibition for Iowa...if they win, great....if not, doesnt matter.....and they said the W for a bowl shouldn't count.

I do think there is a shift happening (Jaylin helped point a lot out) that will expose their style of play and weak schedule and we will have the chance to consistently play for titles. Love it. And bball....well, that's not even a thing.

I think the stat of not beating a team that finished in the top 25 since 2019 is the more damning stat. Cause with the preseason rankings being so much about names and not performance, you’ll get the occasional top 25 win that isn’t really a top 25 team.
