Metcalf interview on Flowrestling

I don't know if cyler pushed someone. The fact is, if he acted like an a$$hole like metcalf continues to do, then I think maybe more people would remember it. Maybe he did maybe he didn't. But saying hey remember that one time at band camp doesn't change the fact that Metcalf is an ***. The more you argue and throw out vague attacts the more it makes you look more and more like him.

If you are going to bad mouth people at least give us specifics. But but this one time ... crap doesn't impress anyone here.

Was he so clearly out of line that the team was docked a point at nationals? Is there video all over the place showing him looking like an ***, and afterwords are there interviews with his yapper going show even more stupidity?

Its better to keep your mouth shut and let the world THINK you're stupid than to run your yapper and remove all doubt.

I asked if anybody remembers this. I do, but like I said, I don't have specifics.

The point is, and I'm sure you won't appreciate this, is that dozens of posters were pointing out how Cael would have forced any of his wrestlers to apologize if they did what Metcalf did. Apparently, that is not so.

Anyways, I remember reading on this board that "It's great to see the fire outa the boys like that!" after he shoved him. Unfortunately, after a quick search, I couldn't find those comments, but I'm 100% certain it happened.

Point is, pot, meet kettle.

I remember comments from that meet on here neither celebrating or condoning those actions. Cyler was, however, quite pumped during that match, and basically ended up telling the UT-Chatt kid that he sucked with his action of the push on the edge of the mat.

I still think it is nothing like pot and kettle and that is what you are not getting. Maybe he did maybe he didn't. What the fans say after an action like that means very little to me as there are tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands of fans. One two or ten doesn't show the nature of a fanbase or a program. There are going to be bad apples and I seriously don't know what the situation was with cyler if it did happen.

All I know is that there is no remorse for this hack and the entire program seems to nurture this kind of foolishness and stupidity. He continues to make things worse and take logic and sportsmanship as low as he possibly can. That's what the classy fans are defending, condoning and basically nurturing.

Kettle keep bashing your head against the wall and deny it again, and we'll just agree go disagree, but we're talking paterns and brands mentality vs. maybe a kid made a mistake. But did he come out after and recite all the chest puffing, excuse making, "justification."

metcalf just looks like an idiot. Admit you were being an ***, admit you made a mistake, admit you think the guy deserved it if you want, but he chest pumps while saying he didn't do anything. He act all tough and and shows a lot about what he was really thinking when he says, if he wanted to he would have knocked him off the mat completly.

Do you really think that he was going for the takedown and back points to win the match? But hey we're used to hawk athletes not taking ownership of their actions, so I guess you must be used to it too. Just defend him on your own board. We're tired of you giving Iowans a bad name. And all the band camp stories you post won't change my mind. I highly doubt cyler acted this foolish, even if he did get mad enough to push someone.

no doubt Metcalf, shoved him out of anger but honestly I think ISU could use wrestlers like Metcalf who are dominant and mean, in order to wrestle you have to have the attitude that the only way you can beat me is if I beat my self, Gable certainly had it and so did Cael. one poster said if he is dominant why did he lose? Well then can you say Gable wasn't dominant because he lost his last match? I am not condoning Metcalf's shove but I love how Iowa wrestles and teaches their wrestlers, which is don't just win humiliate the other guy, and if you lose make sure that you have given your opponent the idea that he doesn't want to wrestle you again for fear of being beat down. I wish our wrestlers had more a Metcalf's and Iowa's mentality, I also hope the would control it more and not do something as unsportsman like as Metcalf did.
