Assembly on those is pretty straightforward - the boy always wanted to help, too, which is sometimes helpful and usually maybe not. The real trick is precisely placing all the stickers - may want to hold off on the drinking until that is done.

I got the same job today lol
Put one of those together two years ago. Assembled it at my in-laws and snuck it home on Christmas Eve.

The other two kids are boys so likely done with Barbie stuff.

Much more enjoyable sipping on some whiskey instead of assembling toys this go around.

I'm putting together some sort of vanity in my daughters room...instructions say 240(!!!) minutes, which actual means 360 minutes. Can't wait.
So the novella (42 pages) of instructions I have...I noticed the very first step was WRONG! I snuck ahead a couple of pages to see why what I was trying to do wasn't working. Yeah, they had the spacing wrong. I wasn't the problem!

I put together my share of starwars & gi joe accessories.

All I know is, if you didn't have parts left over after you finished, you did it wrong.

That might be how I need to attack it next year!

Gabby's ******* dollhouse is 45 steps to construct. This is ********
This is all child’s play, when my daughter was younger, I built a three story doll house, trimmed out with carpet, shingles and fully painted and the whole nine yards mostly out of MDF material.

….the plans I followed were for a two story house which would have been perfect to move down to her room through the basement stairs… the third story created some SERIOUS challenges and required extensive dry wall repair to my house.

Not to get political but I’ve seen an increase in instructions with 3-4 vague illustrations accompanied by poorly translated non sequiturs.

“….oh…ok. Thanks. I’ll just figure this out on my own I guess?”

why is this political? it just the commonplace 'we don't give a **** what we sell. we only care about how much we sell. bait and switch' attitude of corporate America.
