Thankfully my daughter didn’t like Barbie. But I did have one anxiety filled Christmas Eve putting together bikes for both my kids.

We always had the kids help build their toys. Even when young, it was part of the fun to have them help get tools and be involved.

Enjoy it while you can. Nothing better than seeing a young child on Christmas morning and the joy in their eyes. Beats any Christmas I ever had as a kid. I'd give anything to go back and see them again when they first saw the Barbie Dreamhouse next to the tree. Now, I'm just happy she came home from Ames to spend Christmas with us.

One thing I’ll say…that plastic Barbie house is much easier than some of the wooden sets I’ve had to put together. At least the plastic sets have pieces that just snap into place. Your not really driving screws.

By far the worst thing I’ve had to assemble is the outdoor swing set. If the Barbie dream house is a 6 pack, that thing is like 10 cases.

Man, that would be a present for me. I LOVE putting things together. I think I have figured out what I'm doing for retirement.
