Wren didnt favor RROD, but money talks.
RROD will be announced this week.
Pretty excited. No, RROD has not had wild success elsewhere, but games against kstate and ISU will be rock fights now. WVU being soft is over.

Wren Baker did say he has commitments for more NIL money, enough to set WVU up for competing for the big 12 title year in and year out. Something NB claimed he lacked. both corners NB recruited were stolen by Penn State. RROD will have big boy money to spend.

Your qb is safe. RROD will look for a lamar jackson clone. Obviously he wont be NFL caliber, but a durable, fast, hardnosed runner who excels at the option attack.

Too lazy to find the Campbell to x thread, UNC contacted him yesterday apparently?
Was going to post that yeah. I also heard that some power people are all in Bill so it was more a courtesy than anything.............

and the Bill thing is frankly wild. I might end up being wrong but I think that has 99.87% chance of being the kind of Chernobyl dumpster fire that is hard to recover from. An aging coach who hasn't been in college since... who knows when, who seemingly had the NFL pass him by without Brady to some degree, is now making demands of a university that could be relevant if it made the right hire , and not to mention, it just forced its best coach in school history arguably, another aging coach, out the door....

man, I don't get it. If I am UNC I got to Todd Monken at Army, the dude at Tulane or even CMC and plop open the check book and say "What do you need / want." I guess if you go 0-3 than I entertain other options but man. This makes less sense than Frost back to UCF to me

Since, never. Everything I have read has said he has never coached in college in any form. He started with the Baltimore Colts after graduating college.

Yeah, I wasn't going to look it up but I wanted to say never. You fire Mack Brown for old Bill ? Like... mind blowing.

Again, if everyone else said no, I guess I understand. But again, I'd go back a second time and say " look, how many zero's do you need?" Cause they've got the money, a brand - albeit mostly basketball but still - a gigantic a** university and good , if not great, in state recruiting.

and while higher expectations than maybe we generally have here, not insanely high expectations year in and year out. You win 8.5 games a year at UNC you are probably safe if you mix in a 10 season every 4-5.

Iowa State has become a good job. Top 50? Top 55? IDK. Its hard to rank them but probably somewhere around 50th. So top half of the country. Iowa's probably top 40?
UNC Is probably top...... 30? Maybe 35th at worst?

And Bill is the best they can do?

I mean in any order you probably have:

Alabama
Texas
Georgia
Ohio State
Michigan
Oregon
Florida
Auburn
Penn State
USC
Florida State
Texas A&M
Clemson
Miami
LSU
Ole Miss
Tennessee

----

After that, you could probably fit UNC anywhere between the rest and say 30th. I am amazed they can't pull more than Bill

Football will always be the second priority there, and the ACC future is up in the air due to Florida State and Clemson's feelings about their ESPN tv deal. They might have to pay like a top 10 job to overcome that. Maybe they would, but I doubt it.

That's true, but there's a reason even with that, UNC is considered one of the pearls of the remaining schools not in the Big 10 / SEC.

If the ACC fell tomorrow, UNC 100% is either Big 10 or SEC bound. They're not getting left out
