WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Iowa-Tennessee is 35-35 at the half. Tennessee full court pressure turned over Hawkes 18 times but when they weren't turning it over the Hawks were obviously pretty efficient. Tennessee dominated the first few minutes (those turnovers), Hawks came back and won the next 15 or so but Tennessee came back to win the last few minutes. Hawks are lucky Olsen is back from her lacerated knee or this could have been lopside to Volunteers.

Man, I would want no part of Tennessee in the NCAA's. The classic pressure team that has given us nightmares for the last 30 years. Think A&M old school etc. I believe our guards would struggle mightily against them.

I’m glad Tennessee got the job done tonight. Iowa is a decent team and will beat us on Wednesday night. They don’t have CC though to get them over the hump on games like tonight.

Going to be a good game I believe. Betting the national viewers gets their money's worth. Strength versus strength in the paint. Will be interesting to see who wins the rebound battle.

Caught a few minutes of Southern Cal. Kiki adds a lot to that team. Kiki and Juju are quite a tandem of names however.

I know we haven't looked the best either and we could very well lose in Iowa City but watching Iowa-Tennessee, they don't scare me. They shoot horrifically from 3 and turned the ball over like 30 times. I know Tennessee is very much a pressure-focused team and its like playing West Virginia, but some of the passes looked suspect even minus Tennessee's pressure. Iowa is tougher and grittier than they have been in recent years, which I think is Jensen's influence being seen + Olsen's style.

Agree. Three point shooting was abysmal by both teams. Iowa having 30 turnovers. They did outrebound UT by 15. That’s where ISU is going to really have to focus…the boards.

Watching Drake and UNI (preseason picks to finish 1-2 in the MVC) struggle is interesting. We obviously were on the receiving end of some abnormal scoring nights, but UNI and Drake are on very divergent pathways. UNI has been in nearly every single game with a chance to win, but Drake has really struggled. Interesting they both have strong comparables by playing the same teams. UNI is the team that looks like it could right the ship more quickly…Drake on the other hand…

Crowds will come to watch WBB if you put matchups on the floor that are appealing. Im trying to send a pic I took of the crowd. It may or may not show up. I have tons of trouble trying to post pics on this site. Other forums no problem. But its probably my fault.

I was at the TCU - SC game last night. There were 8,004 actual butts in seats. Also in Shreveport there were 8,500 at the Grambling - LSU game. Crowds will come to watch WBB if you put matchups on the floor that are appealing. Im trying to send a pic I took of the crowd. It may or may not show up. I have tons of trouble trying to post pics on this site. Other forums no problem. But its probably my fault.

Wish this UConn at ND game wasn't up against our MBB with Iowa. Can at least catch the 1st quarter. ND star Miles hurt her ankle but looks like she is checking back in.
