Yes, but In some ways, considering this team rarely put together 4 complete quarters its kind of incredible we won 10 games. Like, we could have easily won Tech. But we also had 3-4 we could have very easily lost with the mental mistakes or semi-lack luster play at times.
We are a good team but also, a highly inconsistent one. Or, consistently inconsistent? Where one of the offense, defense or slightly less rarely, ST, just takes a half to really get going. Which for as much as the leadership gets talked about... is a little surprising. Obviously, injuries play a role in that.
We won 10 games which is incredible. And an accomplishment that is deserved to be celebrated.
But I will die on the hill that ever since the West Virginia game... the team just wasn't right. We won games, but it just felt different, we seemed to be like a car needing a transmission change. Maybe the injuries finally took their toll. IDK.
Kids deserve credit for the season along with the coaches.
