We’ve been running the ball really effectively. The dumb part about the last possession is that we’ve been running effectively between the tackles and our first play was a sweep that took five seconds to develop
This. Just a throw way down and then the snap before the 2 minute warning. Just basic stuff that we screw up.

Ah the annual football chest pass throw competition. Should have to throw a football the correct way.
I was just talking to my dad about how that's evolved. Would be a cool oral history. The first couple years everyone threw like a qb... then a guy started with chest passes, and its been the standard since.

Stanford was up 35-0 because they could score any old way they wanted and didn't let Iowa do a thing on offense. CMC also caught passes and returned punt returns for TDs.

So no, it's not similar.
Oh, I remember the game.

Again, somewhat tongue-in-cheek…as in, this is ISU’s version of a big game blowout. Subtle digs at Iowa are how I cope.

good luck in second half. As a huge Big 12 fan who has watched almost every game, i wouldnt bet a 100 bucks on ASU winning, even up 14.

You have becht, and I recall the 2nd halfs ISu had against WVU, Baylor and more. Unlike kansas and texas tech, ASU doesnt have an eilte passing game. load the box, and just let rocco win it.

This game is far from over. Time for ISU to air it out and get the ball to their best players.

Normally I'd agree... but Skatterboo is embarrassing our entire defense, and that offensive drive at the end of the half that gave ASU a bonus TD before the half was one of the most embarrassing things I've seen ISU do.

Youre down 7, 91 yards away from the end zone, with about 2:20 on the clock (which will stop at 2:00), and your opponent has two time outs left.

It’s fine yo plan on trying to move the ball aggressively and get points. But when your first play goes nowhere and you’re still 90 yards away … maybe think about running the clock down to the 2:00 timeout before you run a second down play? At least think about making Arizona State use their time outs.

Instead we snap the ball with 2:02 left, get two yards, give ASU basically a free time out, then throw an incompletion to stop the clock again before punting.

I’m no genius, but that didn’t seem optimal.

May not be over, but we’ve done a great job of ensuring our margin for error is almost non-existent for the second half.

Pathetic effort on the defense today. No one good enough to tackle. Hopefully a little manhood shows up in the second half.
