The offense is playing really well?

Offense hasn’t played really well all year. They’ve been ok or slightly above Ok at times, but most of success has been the defense shutting people down on second half.

CMC ran 18 times for 172 yards in the game.

Scataboo ran 10 times for 140 yards in the first half.

I was being a little tongue-in-cheek, but if the offense wasn’t playing really well this could have been a blowout.

Stanford was up 35-0 because they could score any old way they wanted and didn't let Iowa do a thing on offense. CMC also caught passes and returned punt returns for TDs.

So no, it's not similar.

That fourth down play hurt badly. Would have been huge field position shift and probably led to points for ISU

No fgs second half, must score TDs and obviously get more stops. Going to need to tackle on first down and force them to pass

You have becht, and I recall the 2nd halfs ISu had against WVU, Baylor and more. Unlike kansas and texas tech, ASU doesnt have an eilte passing game. load the box, and just let rocco win it.

They do have some things in common. Both have great RBs and crappy defenses. ASU has a much better QB and WR. Although that WR is on the sidelines today.

I get what you’re saying, but Heacock seems to be wanting ASU to run more. We may not have a good fourth lineman, but he doesn’t try to run a blitz or pressure the line with the other guys.

If the tackling discipline isn't better it doesn't matter if they're blitzing or playing 10 in the box.
