I was one of those people on Florida State’s side last year, and thought they got screwed out of the playoff … that said, I’m enjoying it quite a bit watching these guys who think they’re too good for the ACC get batted around like a kitten toy by Memphis. At home, no less!
True about Deboer & I wouldn't be surprised if he continues to build on Saban-era dominance. I know, however, that Saban is probably a top 5 all-time college coach, and that can often be a very hard act to follow, but certainly not impossible (especially with the blue-blood football DNA in Tuscaloosa).
Yeah I do t really cheer for FSU/Clemson/UNC/UVA this year the way I’m pulling for other acc/big 12. They're basically in the cash conference already.
I mean you do you, but that’s an absolutely insane take unless you think Deboer is going to win more than 6 national titles while taking the Tide to another pair (I think) of national Championship games. Every coach “leaves wins on the table” including Bill Belichick in a couple of Super Bowls where they were clearly the better team.
Am I taking crazy pills? We got posters saying Saban is Kirk Ferentz with talent and that he’s “probably a top 5 college coach”???

He went 201-29 in 16 years. Never won less than 10 games outside of his first year. 8 national title games going 6-2. He went to the national title basically every other year for 16 years and it wasn’t good enough for this guy.
He has always ran a conservative offense. I watch them every Saturday. The amount of times they could have stepped on the gas on throttled teams is unreal.
