Anyone else find that as they get older you get excited about things that used to seem trivial?

For example, today I have leftover stir fry for lunch and I'm super geeked about it.

Just funny how stuff like that can be such a high point of your day.

Leftover stir fry is the best!!!!

A little different, but we're moving this weekend, and we have hired movers to do the packing/hauling. I'm sitting here working while they pack. This will be the first move I have ever done where I wont be laboring, and I'm giddy for that!
I turned 30 shortly after my last move and have the same plan for my next. I got a taste with having furniture delivered

This is the only way we've done it for the past 2-3 moves and I would never go back.

Totally agree on movers! One more comment ... for moves we box things up. Wife uses a color (room) and number system for each box and has a summary of what's in each number. Can tell the movers what room the boxes go and then if you're looking for something you can refer to the list. Super helpful when you have "junk" boxes for the basement!!

My simple, old man pleasure is getting a good squeegee when filling up at the gas station.

I'm going to have to look that up in the urban dictionary to see what else that phrase means.

I look forward to my cup of coffee every morning. Seriously the highlight of my days sometimes.

I get excited about going to bed. Never used to be that way. Weird.

Get up in the morning for coffee, can't wait for bed again.

Go to bed, can't wait for coffee.

Maybe it's the routine of two reliable things to keep on track.

100% truth. Maybe that's because I like food so much though and not just getting older. My wife could care less, I enjoy a good meal and savor it / look forward to it.

I sometimes look forward to meals or something I'm making for days on end.... haha.
