The key is not to do it every day. Keep them guessing whether daddy will really show up or not. That way it's always a surprise and doesn't turn into a boring everyday routine.
Sometimes daddy stops showing up forever. :jimlad:

I look forward to my cup of coffee every morning. Seriously the highlight of my days sometimes.
Since my partial glossectomy my morning coffee is the most enjoyable thing to eat or drink. Coffee used to taste good, now it's fantastic. Even the coffee at the office tastes great

Oh my, didn’t know they existed. Ordering one now!
Yes, inexpensive and they work. Will bring joy. My wife said here, put this on- new wedding ring LOL. Right now in the morning when they are cold with feathers puffed up and on your hand they are so cool. At first I would stick my arm out way and rest it on the deck railing to keep still. When they get used to it you can get them real close. A silly game I play to see how close I can get them to me.

Working in construction my days can be rough. As soon as I finish lunch I'm thinking about dinner to keep moral. God I love food.

I love leftovers. The keep me from spending more money for lunch while at work. When I worked at ISU, I parked in the north lot and had a five-minute commute home for my hour lunch break. Made it really easy to run home, reheat something that we had over the past couple nights (stroganoff, spaghetti, turkey/mashed potatoes, ravioli alfredo, cold pizza, etc.). Now I work a lot farther from home and can't justify going home for my break anymore (plus, now I only take 20 minutes instead of an hour). I contemplated going out but figured that was going to be a minimum of $50 extra bucks spent every week, which I couldn't justify. I decided it was just extra motivation to make good stuff for dinner - and a LOT of it - so I would have things to take with me for lunch. When you make good stuff, it's worth having it a few times, then don't make it for a while so you don't get sick of it. I feel super guilty when I don't finish leftovers and have to throw them out, so I always try to make sure it's all used.

When I get home my dog will rise up on his hind legs and literally hug me. Best part of my day, next to bedtime of course
I just recently saw a commercial where a referee made a horrible call and was jeered mercilessly needing to be escorted from the stadium by security. He finally gets home and is greeted by his dog, and it put a smile on his face. It was one of the best commercials I have ever seen.

-Using a new deodorant for the first time or new shower gel (when I buy new, can't wait for the old to be done)

-hooded sweatshirts and jeans and the matching weather that makes them ideal (needed, but not too hot/cold)

-Always have like this, but getting a package in the mail....with tracking and all, some days I am like "can't wait to get home" and i love "setting things up" when I get a gadget or something like that. Along with that, opening a new item like electronics.

Me too! Thought I was the only one.

I have the old people joys as well.

Inundated with tomatoes, but the grilled cheese tomato sandwich for lunch is a good follow-up to the morning coffee.

We are going through two cups of hummingbird red stuff a week. They are oblivious to the dog and me. They come within a foot of us. They are strikingly beautiful.

And I highly recommend staring at the night sky.
Same here, but the "red" serves no purpose. Use 1:4 plain granulated sugar to water.

Getting to a dark sky locale on a clear night is an event.
