Bleacher Report Top 25 QBs after two weeks

Raiola is the real deal…

of interest is that RB is only behind Rising in the conference.
Although Raiola may end up being better in the future, they claim these rankings are based solely on their performance the first two games. Becht has better numbers including a game against one of the best defenses in the country.

They'll do anything they can to push the 'Nebraska is back!' thing especially with the CFP expansion.
Oh, totally agree. Plus, Nebby really needs to play a team with a defensive pulse. UTEP and Colorado...not so much. Speaking of teams without a defensive pulse...Oklahoma State and Texas Tech (allowing more than 500 yds of offense a game), followed by Cincy and West Virginia (allowing 468 and 415 yds of offense a game respectfully) are near the bottom of the FBS teams. ISU should feast on these teams.

Tyler Shough, Louisville

After three years at Oregon and three years at Texas Tech...

How in the world does he still have eligibility? Same class as Brock Purdy right?

People are pointing out Allen Bowman at OkState, but Shough is a similar story.
There's a TE at Miami that's in year nine!!!

I don't totally buy that. Good, certainly. One of the best? Not so sure about that.

And both played at Texas Tech!

I got dragged in another thread for this kind of perspective and I'll hold to it and wait for the season to play out before anointing anyone actually elite.

I love Rocco, glad he is our QB and he is still primed to have a good 2024.

That being said...let us not act like Jayden Higgins didn't steal a redzone Iowa INT away and turned into a Rocco TD pass.

His INT to the Iowa LB in 1st half was also just an atrocious read & throw.

I'll give him all the credit in the world for hanging in there and being mentally tough as nails on the road. He clearly has been taught well by his STL HC father Anthony and ISU coaching staff.

Rocco still has plenty of area for decision making improvement. But he did finally start "taking what the defense gave him" in the 2nd half.

How many colleges has Chandler Morris played for now? This has to be, what? His fourth? I looked it up. It's only his third. Where I got confused is he originally committed to Arkansas but never played or enrolled there because his dad got fired as their head coach. He then committed to OU, transferred to TCU and is now at North Texas.

Also, we got a first look at TCU's current QB, Josh Hoover, when he subbed for Morris last year after Morris got hurt. Hoover looked pretty pedestrian to be rated so high in these rankings. He was intercepted, sacked and hurried all over the field by the Cyclones, but did manage to lead them to one TD when the game was no longer in doubt and the second and third stringers were playing for ISU.
