CW is still fascinated by the newest media darling CC.Surprised we haven't gotten more discussion about how well Bridget has been doing and that Soares is playing on any of the CF or IE pods

I've quit clicking on my phone after a wk the number of posts drop a bunch. Still get a random one occasionally and just swipe to get rid of itI almost barf every time I see another WNBA headline focused on Clark.
In the beginning the focus on Clark was great. Time to spread the wealth and focus on the other stars to bring them to the forefront. The current Clark overload is exactly that…beating the gift horse at the expense of the bigger picture.Barf all you want to but the WNBA is smart to ride the wave. The focus on the WNBA is at an all-time high and so is attendance. Seems to me that even my local Lynx have upped their PR game via social media.
Channel flipped into the Fever/Aces game last night and the storyline was mostly how the defending champs had turned things around. Post-games interviews were with A'ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum (34 pts). Fever aren't a very good team. I lean towards the coach sucking at her job since every starter for them was no worse than a 1st round #5.
Hawks did get some mention outside of Clark because both the new coach and retired coach were courtside in LV to watch the three Hawk alumni playing in the game. They were both at the last Fever/Aces game to. Gotta give them some credit , they do know how to support their alumni and also get some visibility for their program in a good two for one.
People on CF are tired of hearing about Clark, but it's obvious people around the country aren't as the Fever are setting attendance records ON THE ROAD with fans paying ridiculous $ to get past the turnstiles. It should be obvious by now this isn't just hawkeye fans. Aces / Fever drew the largest WNBA crowd in 25 years last night, with over 20,000 fans paying an average of $150+ / ticket. A couple nights earlier, the Fever drew the largest crowd in Phoenix since 1997 with courtside seats going for over $2000 - they weren't there to see Diana T!Barf all you want to but the WNBA is smart to ride the wave. I don’t think she is a horrible person and I think other players never really resented her - they just wanted (and want) her to earn her stripes.People on CF are tired of hearing about Clark, but it's obvious people around the country aren't as the Fever are setting attendance records ON THE ROAD with fans paying ridiculous $ to get past the turnstiles. While there are always going to be some exceptions, I believe WNBA players are beginning to be OK with Clark's drawing power. A'ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum and other Aces were seemingly very friendly with her last night. The smart ones have to understand she's bringing unprecedented exposure to their game, and that benefits all.
Now if only her core fans would just shut up and stay off social media - the vocal minority are embarrassing and give the state a black eye.
It’s not just Clark. Attendance is through the roof across the board in the WNBA. Is she a root cause? Absolutely. I still say it’s time to focus on the league. There are lots of big time players that have paid their dues that deserve attention and respect.People on CF are tired of hearing about Clark, but it's obvious people around the country aren't as the Fever are setting attendance records ON THE ROAD with fans paying ridiculous $ to get past the turnstiles. With the recent stellar play of Angel Reese, it made me think about the teams that let her fall to #7, specifically #5 Dallas (Ohio State G), #6 DC (UCONN F) and #7 Minnesota.Sidebar, the idiots running the Wings signed Odyssey Sims. She went all "Me Ball" a couple of possessions in a row and cost them any chance at a win with 2 minutes left. I had enough of her **** when she played (twice) for the Lynx. Never figured how one of the best pro hoops coaches (Reeves) brought Sims on board with the Lynx two different times.
