Parking selection?

I am more concerned about the cost in future years. With the athletics department having to pay athletes they will need to come up with the money somehow. Would a raise in price on donation levels be on the table? I might have to drop down a level.
They've already redesignated the Lots based on last year's map with the donor levels.

I drove by there a couple weeks ago..... those parallel lots you speak of will still have some grass to back up to. It won't be quite as big, but there is still some room.
But according to the new parking map, there won't be any parking allowed in those lots.

Notice that the lots which ran parallel to Center Dr (along the south side of Center Dr) are no longer available. Hope this doesn't mean all those great grass tailgating spots are also gone. Also, it appears a new road has been built that runs from Center Dr to the NW section of A3.

Interesting because there's always been a drive into those lots from Center Drive. This map looks like it (the driveway) was moved to the west with a curved approach, and the existing one removed. And interesting also because based on memory of location, I don't remember a lot of room to put in a driveway to the south there because there wasn't much parking area. There's a hillside of sorts to the west. Now I need to drive there and look.

How do the priority points work? I'm new to this process.

Honestly, we were on the fence of renewing this year and only ended up doing so because they called after the deadline to confirm I wanted to let my seats go and they caught me at a weak moment. It's unfortunate, but the new state of college athletics is probably going to price us out of tickets moving forward.
Agree. I gave up last year. I bought SEZ tickets about 20 to 25 years ago when they were $250 I think. So two seats were $500. Now it's right up near $3,000. And it's going to keep moving higher and higher. I hope enough people can afford to keep JTS filled, it's such a fun place.

I'm gold and my time is June 20 at 11:30. I stopped by the parking lots yesterday and there are gonna be some pretty significant changes for this season.

  • A new entrance/exit road has been added to the NW corner of A3.
  • A3 is now one big lot instead of two separate lots.
  • The smaller B3 and C3 lots that ran along the south side of Center Dr are now completely gone.
  • Looks like the capacity for lot A5 has been cut by a third or so.
  • Capacity for lots B3 and C3 have been cut significantly.
  • Lot B4 has been added.

Not exactly sure.
Thanks for the thread. I see mine went to junk.

Am I reading it right when it says all lots are open for all unassigned parking spot people?

Yeah I got confused when I read that, thought about it and think it means you do not have an assigned space Within the lot. Some higher level lots have assigned spaces. Probably, that will be the next way to get more $$$.

Edit: Letter said that all lots will be square pull in, with red fire lane that shall not be impinged upon.

I think it just means there's no restrictions on parking locations outside of the assigned lots. There are general guidelines for what you should donate to get into a lot, but technically anybody can select and spot anywhere as long as it's available. As a states member I got into a cardinal lot a couple years ago because there were still spots left when I selected.

Do we know the numbers of each donation level?

1,265 total in Cardinal - I don't pick until next Wednesday. Hoping to sneak into C1/C2 like we did last year, but might get bumped to B1. I don't like how they no longer show how many spots are remaining in each lot when you go to preview like they had in the past.

I get to pick on Friday. The lot I was in last year is a mixture of my color and the higher donation color. Hopefully I get it!
