This is state track from 2018. It's one of the, if not the, first race of the day, and this runner is from Cardinal-Eldon. I wish I could have framed this better and given so more empty space to the right side of the frame, but I was taking this with my phone...rapid-fire.20180518_102509.jpg

Edit: Yeah, kinda fergot the pic at first

Was fortunate to be in the right place when this Coati walked by in the Huachuca Mountains of Arizona. Probably a male as it was large and the females and juveniles travel in groups. My sharper pics were too large to post here.
The lens was a Nikon 70-300 VR which can be bought used on eBay for +/-$100.

I just started doing sports photography this past year (mostly high school) and love it. Here is one of my best photos so far.View attachment 128068

My mom took tons of pictures throughout our school years. Sports, cheerleading, plays, choir concerts etc.

Then at graduation she'd give a photo album with the pictures she took of them. They loved it.

A few of my favorite frames from Wisconsin's state track meet last weekend in La Crosse. The third one got me one angry email because the photo was of a kid's reaction to being disqualified on a false start in the 4x400 when his team needed just 4 team points in the last event to get a team trophy.

These are incredible! You should submit to the Iowa State Photography Salon in sports. I believe you can mail them in still, no matter where you are from.

Was that an accident in the wheelchair race?

Caught #7 at just the right moment

Yeah, the kid on the left came up from behind and his front wheel got jammed under the other kid's seat or something. I'm honestly surprised it doesn't happen more often (first time I've ever seen it). Those kids are mostly racing with their heads down and using the lane lines to guide them, so it's surprising that they never seem to wreck like this.
